Has Apple's innovation engine stalled?

Apple's profit-gushing iPhone came into question again Monday, briefly sending shares below $500 on concerns of a sales slowdown, as Wall Street's gizmo darling is in danger of becoming yesterday's glamour stock. Read more

::Koala puts on a skirt:: How do I look? Ugh! Polka dots what wuzzz I thinkin'!
::rips it off:: Those people at Apple haven't been the same since the Emperor's demise.::jumps into the closet and exits wearing a royal purple:: Did you know that this hue was made off the coast of current Israel out of some sort of shellfish. SO expensive back ::whirls around in front of mirror:: in the days. Purple, royalty. Laws were even installed about this color.::puts on a crown:: Off with his head. I own that colour!

I think to say that Apple has lost its innovation after the death of Steve Jobs is unfair to all of the great people at Apple. I don't know them very well, but one department comes to mind, that of Jony Ives and his crew. Apple will continue to innovate and hopefully will cultivate the same obsessive attitude Jobs had towards making their products great and work perfectly before shipping them.

Seems to me that everybody's still chasing them.

Today's business news says iPhones outsold all other brands in December.

That doesn't sound like 'stalling' out'

They (Apple) aren't stupid - there's a method to their madness when they introduced the 5 in October. Sales carry profits through the end of the year.

FYI.....My daughter received a school issued Macbook laptop starting in the 7th grade (all the 7th graders did). This is part of Apples genius. My daughter is now in the 8th grade and wants NOTHING to do with a PC......

I even bought the new iPad for Christmas, and it costs considerably more than other tablets. Why? My perceived quality of the product, good support, and most importantly my best friend who works as a computer engineer has nothing but Apple products and consistantly tells me how much better they are than their competitors......

Will that change? Who knows......but it's in my kids head, and all the kids at her school. Smart move by Apple.
