About time they got rid of Turner. Never should've fired Schottenheimer - not after just one season, anyhow.
I agree...I wouldnt have minded keeping Norv around as an offensive coordinator or something...I honestly believe the majority of the Chargers issues were with the GM. His dealings with Rodney Harrison, Junior Seau, Michael Turner, McNeil, Vincent Jackson,Schottenheimer etc.etc.etc. was an inflated ego breaking a team down. We can only go up from here though right?

I LMAO when I read this:

"Why did they fire Lovie Smith?"

Lovie's record against teams with an above .500 record:

10-41 (over 9 seasons)

Colt's need a bit better recievers...too many dropped passes....we must remember, they are still a 2-14 team, only one year later...it's a miracle they were even in the playoffs.....Seattle's slow start worried me, but glad they woke up....
"they are still a 2-14 team," --- way off the track. Though overachieving this season, having a "2-14" schedule, and playing the first 2 games like a 2-14 team (should have had a win against Jags and loss against Packers for "form") they are more like 8-8 or 9-7, particularly Sunday. For the season, they had the draft picks which worked out, Wayne with a good year, and a free agent or two that helped and Bruce Ariens.

Your errant observation on that point is like saying the 'Hawks are a 7-9 team like they finished last season.

Seahawks D just took a serious hit.

Defensive lineman Jason Jones was placed on injured reserve today, ending his first season with the Seahawks.

To fill Jones’ spot on the 53-man roster, Hebron Fangupo was signed off the practice squad. To fill Fangupo’s spot on the practice squad, wide receiver Bryan Walters, who attended Juanita High School in Kirkland, was signed.

Jones, who signed with the Seahawks in free agency, had three sacks among his 11 tackles. He also tipped four passes, recovered a fumble and had three other QB hits. But his impact on the team’s improved pass rush went beyond statistics.

As coach Pete Carroll put it,“We’re just not the same without Jason in there.”

Jones missed two games at midseason because of a sprained ankle. But it was a knee injury that ended his season.

Fat chance...let them try to blitz AR, he'll burn them like he burnt the Vikings.

Besides, the 9ers were absolutely torched by Wilson in the last week of the season.

"Besides, the 9ers were absolutely torched by Wilson in the last week of the season.", week 17?

In the last week, week 17.
The 49'ers played the Cardinals home at Candlestick.
49'ers 27 Cardinals 13.

In the second to last week, week 16
49'ers played the Seahawks at CenturyLink.
49'ers 13 Seahawks 42.

Week 1 49'ers at Lambeau. 49'ers 30 Packers 22
Week 15 49'ers at Foxboro. 49'ers 41 Patriots 34

"let them try to blitz AR, he'll burn them like he burnt the Vikings."
AR didn't burn the Vikings on week 17.
Packers at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome.
Packers 34 Vikings 37

Any given Sunday, Saturday, Monday or Thursday..

San Francisco is no joke...lets be honest, if it wasnt for two muffed(I just like saying the word muff)in the NFC Championship game last year they would have been in the super bowl, And Jim Harbaugh, like him or hate him, has done some amazing things as a coach in college and so far in his NFL career. My only negative about Harbaugh is I think he plays too conservative when he has even a small lead in the 4th quarter and it almost bit them in the azz a few times this year.

My preseason picks were, Harbaugh vs. Harbaugh....SF vs. Baltimore, but the Peyton vs. Wilson or Brady story is much more fun.....

The Audible..
http://www.topix.com/forum/news/weird/T7P7CI7... lol..

Think I'd rather have Harbaugh over Kubiak..
Kubiak brought Dennison from Denver to do what, drink beer?
I say dump Dennison and buy a QB. LOL
One that can make it happen when a play breaks down.
One that's not afraid to run the ball.
Kubiak calls the plays, and for the most part, the same five.
Kubiak had been calling conservative plays on 3rd and long.
What-the-phvck up with that..
IMO, he looks like a raaatard carrying a laminated, color coded, large poster of his game plan/plays on the sidelines.
Can't he remember, can't he figure it out as it plays out, can't his booth let him know what up..

I guess you agree, Faith Hill's schmokin' haut..
"muffed"...

Sup Dood.. Hope your Holidays were good..
