I absolutely abhor Mondays - especially when the reigning MVP plays like the 4th place finisher in the 50-yard dash at the Special Olympics.

Condolences Milwaukee man. It's a confirmation of "on any given Sunday [Monday, and now Thursday]".

I'm in Colts country, and a follower/fan. Watched this game and checked in on the Browns/Giants game to see if the Browns could keep it competitive. Settled on much of the first half of the Colts/Packer, and tolerated the Colts performance toward catching the half-time highlights bit. Score at half -- 21 to 3, I think.

Well, I snoozed missing the half-time bit and all but the try for 2 points after TD at the very end of the 3rd quarter, missing the entire unanswered 16 points of the pivotal quarter. I surely enjoyed the surprising 4th quarter where the Colts prevailed.

But Sunday was a wash -- Broncos and P. Manning being spanked by the Patriots.

I'm still convinced that the referees are out for Green Bay this year - two, maybe three crucial "slam dunk" calls were mysteriously left as "the call on the field stands - 1st down Indianapolis" or "15 yards for roughing the passer."

OK.

As for your observation about Rodgers' play yesterday in a prior post, the O-line didn't do him any favors in that 4th quarter. I saw good coverage by Colts' secondary on some plays, but Rodgers' was sacked way too much.

Im with you...the calls in the end of the SD NO game seemed to be very one-sided. My take on it is this....if New Orleans goes to 0-5 they are pretty much insignificant for the rest of the season. They play another Sunday night game in week 8, a Monday night game in week 9, and a Thursday night game in week 13 where the NFL runs the risk of having insignificant games that may possibly get bad ratings. I hate to be a conspiracy theorist but look at basketball, and after seeing the pass interference calls on San Diego and the lack of calls on New Orleans in the 4th quarter only it seems pretty clear to me.

Naner, naner, naner (Goon sticks out tongue at DaveMC).

Hehehe. Just kidding Dave. I had pretty much given up on the Saints already this year. Unless Atlanta has a major collapse, the Saints have no chance of winning their division. Besides, San Diego is my #2 team, so last night was a win-win for me either way :0)

I wonder if that Seattle debacle had anything to do with the "calls" lately? I guess Goodell doesn't like getting 70,000 death threats from Packer fans.

Very true - but even with the sacks, there were two bogus calls at the end of that game that determined the pace and ultimately the outcome of the game - roughing the passer in which Luck was hit in the chest - not the helmet. And the pass interference call that was actually a push off offensive interference call.

LOL... You cant let the refs decide the outcome of the game...and lets be honest...Ingrams penalty that negated the interception for TD and Norv Turners second half play calling was just as damaging as the lack of equality on penalty flags in the 4th...I think we are going to get crushed at home by Denver this week...been in this situation with the Charger too many times. FIRE NORV TURNER SPANOS!!!!

I've never been a fan of Turner's. I'm still upset they fired Marty.

You and everyone that lives in the 619,858. I cant believe Norv has lasted this long here to be honest. Thought we were getting rid of him after last season...wishful thinking I guess.
