I'd like to hang some new curtains but I think that might be tied up in the appeals courts for decades.

As nice as technology is, I look at the myriad of buttons on various remote controls for the TV or stereo, etc.

It would be nice if they were voice activated like in my youth.

Dad said "Greymouser. Change the channel on the TV."

And it changed!

Does holding a jackpot lottery ticket change you or just reveal the true content of the character of you and those around you?

What did the curtains do to get hung?

The court battle sounds like a suit against banana growers - tied up in appeals.

Well, it amplifies the character you already have. So you aren't so much "changing" as you are growing into whatever direction you are already headed. The winnings are like fertilizer. Fertilizer doesn't cause plants, but only helps them grow faster, and if there are weeds in your garden, then they grow better too (unless the fertilizer is poison to the weeds, like in the human example of a junkie finally affording enough drugs at once to do themselves in).

I think if I were the guy in the article, I'd have better luck. I'd hope I would have raised my family better. I certainly would avoid bars and most gambling. Sure, I might would buy a few more scratch-offs, but not take all my winnings to Vegas.

Winning the mega-millions lottery won't change me at all. I will still go through the local McDonald's two or three times a week.

As soon as they install a runway.

There is an old story about a fellow who prayed every day , "God, Let me win the lottery".

Each drawing he sat eagerly awaiting the winning numbers,
only to be disappointed again and again.

He tried positive affirmations,
by telling everyone he knew
that someday he was going to win the lottery.

And he never forgot his prayers to heaven.

He grew old, sick and broken.
On his death bed, he prayed,
" I have been a faithful servant God.
Good to my fellow man and a quiet soul.
Why would you not answer
the only true request I asked? "

Suddenly the room was filled with Heavenly light
and a booming voice came from above.

"Bob, Bob, Bob, Why didn't you ever buy a ticket?"

;-)

If I think the Daytona 500 is better than the Indianapolis 400, does that make me a racist?
