We are in a better place not best but better.
We didn't get here overnight and won't get out of this overnight.
I think he really does care about America, the working class and leaving the country better than he found it.
He's smart, obviously has a good heart and I love his million dollar smile..
I think given a chance from all the haters he will do good things for all of us.
I'll be a foil on this:

I believe Obama has spent too much to dig us out of the recession. I think he's lacked the resolve (or leadership) to make Congress function properly. I am angered that he has not closed Gitmo. While I think healthcare needed reforming, I think the current ACA is just a morass and is absolutely the wrong tack to take. Not to mention that it is indeed a job killer - an employer would do all he or she could to stay under that employee cap. It's apparent that all the showdowns over debt ceilings and what not has stagnated growth (who would invest in business if you're unsure what the rules are going to be?) And his pandering to Unions makes me, frankly, queasy.

My paycheck was lower because the payroll tax holiday Obama approved two years ago expired. Please show me where you publicly thanked Obama for the money he saved you over those last two years.
Our credit rating took a hit because of the GOP led House of Representatives. Please put the credit where credit is due.
As for blaming Bush, I don't hold with the idea that you can no longer blame someone for their mistakes. What on earth absolves W for all his failures just because we have new President? W is to blame for HIS PART OF THIS MESS for as long as his failures impact us. And, even then, we could still point and say we'd have been better off had W not done this or that.
I just don't understand why folks are so ready to tar and feather Obama while being happy to give W a pass. It's nuts.
I guess you are right. Damn Jimmy Carter. It is all his fault. Regan didn't blame Carter. He fixed the problem

He had control of congress for the first 2 years and he still has the senate and he has spent us into the poor house. Every man woman and child now owes $50,000 as their share of the debt

You should research your talking points more thoroughly.

Apparently, Reagan did blame Carter.

True. Although, again, there was a lot of road blocks thrown up by the GOP (again, can you say filibuster?) and, as I've said before, I do think Obama has spent more than he should have to dig us out.

That said, it did cost our government a good deal to fight unfunded wars. Whose fault was that? Is it okay to blame W for the Iraq war - both from a debt and death viewpoint?

Congress is broken. I blame the Tea Party, actually. It has too many Republicans refusing to actually do their jobs. It's a crazy world. And what's really funny is Obama has the Tea Party to thank for his re-election.:D

Nope, sure didn't. I don't really like the ACA - posted elsewhere, I think - but do think something had to be done about healthcare in general. Just not the right way to go about it.

I actually agree with you on some of this..

I'm hoping his leadership skills will get better this time around.
As for healthcare, I'm in favor of Universal Healthcare and I thinks it's to soon to tell because it will be tweaked many times.

As for Congress and all the fighting it just makes us look weaker as a nation. If we can't handle our own business how can we help anyone else.

I was raised in a Union Household. Ohio is a Union State as in Auto with one in 8 working somehow in that industry.

You're right to much has been spent I agree but look at all we've paid for, Bailouts, Wars, Hurricanes.. it hasn't been a picnic for him as our Pres.

Like him or not he's what we have for now..

You didn't really expect Crane/Crain/DennyCranesPlace to actually admit he was wrong, do you? If I could somehow figure out how to loop some of his and his croney's posts from week-to-week, you and I wouldn't have to go through this crap on a weekly basis. I corrected him 2 weeks ago and 2 weeks before that on this very same subject.

Mitch McConnell and Boehner are working hard to ensure that Obama is just a two-term president. I'm sure Crain will absolve Obama of any and all blame after his second term is up. His old, misogynistic azz will be so upset that Hillary Clinton is the new president that he'll love Obama.

Agreed.

Actually, I think there are SOME good parts of the ACA. However, forcing individuals and employers to purchase policies is not one of them, IMO.

No, and I looked, too. However, they sourced from Reagan's speeches, so it should be safe.
