Kinda' hard to pick up an AR on the Black Market when they're retail prices just jumped 500%, ain't it?

There are no cheap guns available anymore or ammunition - thanks to the blood of 20 grade school children.

See me in three months, then we'll look at the statistics again.

Nice spin...but no.
I am referring to the HUGE price hikes on ammunition, semi-autos, handguns, shells, magazines in the days following the Sandy Hill incident. Even after Aurora, they were spiking uncharacteristically.
You missed the last of my reply. The pols like fineswine opening her big trap, biden chairing a gun control group, that is what drove up the cost .

Keep hoping that'll be the case, but in the meantime, the school shooting keep on happening. and gun prices keep on going up.

Do you seriously expect every legal gun owner to give up an average of $5,000 /weapon using your figures?
No I do not - and at the same time, at $5,000 a pop, I would expect most gun owners to be a little more responsible and lock their guns up from now on.

Gang bangers have no problem getting a mouth full of gold and driving around in high priced vehicles boasting throwing money out the window. How would any increase in price stop them from attaining whatever weapons they want?

Rich gang bangers sure - unfortunately most are not rich. You watch too many rap videos - not everyone on the street is Tupac Shakur. Very true that criminals will still get guns - however, this is not about the criminal - it's about the thousands of guns that are stolen every year and used again in a crime. Just think of what might have happened (or not have happened) had Adam Loronzo's mother taken the time to better secure her weapons.

Those glorified gangsters in crap videos are part of the problem. I understand that they are full of crap but young uneducated kids dont. Don't believe all the anti gunner propaganda either because a responsible firearm owner would NEVER have their weapons in a position to be stolen.

This is an interesting article I found. 341,000 stolen each year - and I just wonder where they end up. The bottom line is that the responsibility doesn't stop with safe gun handling when the license is issued.

Hopefully not in the wrong hands but you know that they do. There will always be criminals that will be able to obtain anything illegally at any time. Whether they steal from a licensed citizen or not.

Since they rarely prosecute committing a crime with a stolen gun anymore (they do prosecute the crime however), I would question the 341,000 number and guess that many guns never get reported as stolen.
