Ever met any movie stars?

never really met any "movie stars" never really had any desire...few concerts-jerry reed, loretta lynn, elvis, 38 special, percy sledge (many times) joe stampley, bellamy bros (my all time fav) they still rock it...willie nelson...joey & rory...several other riverbank concerts... met andy grigg (love him) Paul Newman filmed "blaze" here back in late 80s & used my driveway over & over for a scene (turnaround) he also stayed in a house just down the country road from me...would hear him zipping round the curve every night...wish i had made effort to meet the "steel magnolias" cast when they filmed near here...most of my friends did but like i said, it never occurred to me then =)

I saw the real Santa Claus in a restaurant a few years back. I know it was the real one cause he gave me one of his business cards. He's a real likable guy, a right jolly old elf! lol

When i was a kid, driving through Hollywood, California....my dad pointed out Hoagey Carmicheal walking on the sidewalk.....

Well met a couple of Canadian singers.. Nick Gilder, Burton Cummings, and Trooper..Ramon McGuire and guitarist Brian Smith. And about 5 years ago Robert Duvall. He got his picture taken with my neice and her husband at their wedding in Calgary.
Oh and when I was a little girl I met the man who played Hoss,(Dan Blocker) many times.

Remember Burton Cummings and the Guess Who, they were a big deal, back in the mid 70's.....alway's loved Dan Blocker, sadly he died kinda young....Bonanza was a big show, when i was a kid.....

One beautiful day back in 95 a few of us went to Rivercity Brewing Co in Jax. It's right on the St. Johns River. We sat on the deck and they happened to be filming a TV called Point Man. It was filmed in Jax and the nearby beaches.

We had lunch and then watched them shooting the same scene over and over into the afternoon.

Can't find that scene on YouTube but did find this. It actually was a good show and ran almost two full seasons.

Dan Blocker had a ranch in
Cloverdale BC when I was a little girl,
Burton Cummings was an awesome singer, and a really nice guy. I went out with a guy who went to school with him in Winnipeg, he was at their high school reunion, and of course did some songs, we partied with him all night.
Nick Gilder is most famous for hot child in the city, of which many said he wrote the song about me. Who knows????
