<quoted text>Very aware what you're saying as I lived most of 2004 in LV. My best bud Charles wants us to fly out for the 4th. Swimming pool to AC to swimming pool for 4 days.
We moved here from Reno to New Bern 2 years ago. Living next to water 200' away and all that goes with it is really nice and we plan on being here for the long haul "however" Nevada will always be my home away from home. Things about the Silver State this old cowboy will always miss.
Yeah, people always ask why AZ? I thought about Vegas but then it's just as bad as Los Angeles gang and crime wise. I do love going there, fine dining and shows and lots of shopping. We always get free rooms at the Hilton Properties and stay for a few days. I like the small towns in Nevada, we've traveled all over there. My husband was there just a few weeks ago teaching "card counting". We don't normally go there to gamble, save that for Tahoe or Primm! If you get a chance, try and hit up Stations Casino, best Lobster Etouffee around these parts!

I first started going to Nevada as a 21 year old to marry in Reno. Things in the "I do" department "didn't" What did work however was my attraction to the state in so many ways. I echo what you say about dining, entertainment etc. well as the overall weather which for some can be a bit much. High desert living in Reno/Tahoe holds a special place for me.
Thanks for the recommendation at Stations, we will be going there. Charles as well as my Brenda like anything on the menu that starts with L O B S T E R.

Lobster in the Desert, who would've thunk it? lmao!

I love places that advertise, "fresh lobster" in the middle of the desert! For me, fresh lobster is on the Pier at the beach. Absolutely YES on Tahoe, love that place and the weather!

Have traveled a fair amount in my time here on planet earth and this I will say Lake Tahoe and area is without a doubt the most beautiful pristine place this cowboy has ever seen. 40 plus years of going there and always look forward to return.
Kaanapali beach on Maui, Hi. is a close second however Tahoe will always be my favorite.

Tahoe, one of the most pristine lakes I've had the pleasure to ski on. I learned my lesson though and will wear a wet suit next time. We haven't been there since the Hilton sold Ceasers but I do want to go back. My son wants us to use our timeshare and stay there this Winter, I'm thinking about it!

In the day Caesars had it all. The finest rooms, restaurants and best top flight headliners in the business. Harrahs tried to give them a run but IMO always came in second. I found early on when going to a headliner show a nice "toke" to the Maitre d' paid off in spades. Nothing like a horseshoe booth 35' from center stage watching old blue eyes singing "my way".
