Ola, i am kinda surprised that so many bulbs do well in Louisianna...I've tried tulips here, with zero luck....even have a hydrangea now, but it's mutant....lol....I'm originally from the midwest, and it's a slow learning curve...lol...

crinum lily!!! that's it! also spiderworts in bloom ...they grow wild on roadside as well as swamp lilies ... I have been given swamp lilies but they didn't make it... must be kept very moist...

Control of color on Hydrangeas, is by a iron sulfide fertilizer? or what?.....it's too hot here, i am surprised it has survived at all.....

is in located in direct sun or semi-shade?...i think semi shade with northern exposure would work best for you...in acidic soil, the flowers are blue...if you sweeten the soil with enough lime to give it alkaline reaction, he flowers change to pink...=)
