Yep oilfield work is money in the bank, even if you work in the camps as a cook, cleaner etc.<quoted text>
My bro and my good buddy growing up are working down in the oil fields in Texas. They work a lot of hours and are raking in the $$.
I can work out during work hours, but on days I lift, it's like a 2 hour deal, by the time I drive there, change, workout, shower, and drive back. I don't always have the time to do that if I have things to get done. I can usually getaway for an hour on days I run, tho, no problem. I'm trying to ease back into running and am up to 3.5 miles. I am doing a 5k next month. I want to keep an 8 minute mile pace. I don't know if I will hit that because I haven't been training that long, but I should be close.
Yes, I like the street glide. It looks like we are going to hit rain on our trip down to Panama City, next week, but hopefully the weather changes. My friends are tryig to convince me not to wash my bike, because everytime I do, the next time I ride it, we always seem to get rained on. I told them maybe if they washed it for me, we will miss the rain. I don't think they are buying it, lol.
I washed the bike last night while hubby cleaned the garage, and nope no rain today, but it is suppose tonight. What happens to us as soon as we put the leathers on is the wind picks up..lol! Let's hope the rain holds off. Got a slight sore throat from our run yesterday.
Suppose to be up to 62 today...woohoo!
