I hate to say this, but I think they maybe right on not letting her in... that dress is way too skimpy and there is no reason that a senior in high school needs to look like she is going to sit on a corner after prom! Maybe if the middle was covered up it wouldn't be so bad, but come on...

Prom night is for getting RIPPED and having fun.
Anything rips on that dress she is going to show the full monty!!!! Come on... she isn't even out of high school yet and already dressing like a hooker! Just an observation---she looks way to comfortable standing on the side of the street to...

The prom is a formal affair-this dress is great for a night club. I think you missed the point of the prom. You are supposed to show some class and decorum, not your navel.

She knew she that dress was too skimpy. She just wanted the attention to jump start her career as a hooker. Following in her Mommy's footsteps.

normally i am all for freedom of dress and try not to judge a person by what they wear. but i have to say this dress was WAY too skimpy for a teenaged young lady to wear for her senior prom. it did not project a good image of her, her class, or her school. as a parent, there is no way in HELL my daughter would leave the house dressed like that!! the parents should have used better judgement.
"Parents"
Does she have any? Who's the Daddy? They had EVERY right to deny her access to the prom. Dressing like a friggen hooker!. If she wanted attention, she got it.

Oh I can't wait for Al Sharpton to jump in on this one.
I hope the people who stopped her weren't white! OMG!
Hey Al. Should we start burning down the neighborhoods now in protest?, Maybe riots in the street? Burn a few cars, bomb a few stores?

Parents just are afraid to say NO to their kids! Morals have gone by the wayside. It's a shame.

I agree that it was way too revealing. My only question is did the school let them know this would be an issue before she showed up? Did they have a dress code and she just didn't follow it? If not, they are in the wrong and ruined her senior prom.
i don't remember our school telling us what dress to wear to our prom. just having common sense tells you and having pride in yourself.

Good, this trashy b**ch needs to be given lessons in proper dress attire. She is probably going to sue the school for racism.......
You are what I call A (SMF) Think about it. As a proud black male in the jacksonville area it should be about teaching the young people, male, fe male no matter what ethinic back round how to talk, respond, look, walk, act, dress, in spite of how she went to the prom she is someone child. What if it was your's? Please people think about what you say before you say it. Peace be unto you.

I think they did the right thing in kicking her out. If you let one dress inappropriate then you will have more. Our whole world will then have no class and all sluts.

I can't believe this girl's parents would even let her leave the house like that. It's no wonder so many kids today are out of control; their parents have no common sense.

You're absolutely right...she IS someone's child. So where in the world are her PARENTS and how could any parent allow their child to walk around looking like that? Do they not know what a prom is? It's not the Rap Music Awards, it's an event designed to teach young people how to look their respectable best.

I can see this young woman's future, and it probably involves dancing around a pole. And she can thank her parents for helping her achieve that goal.

I can not believe this is even an issue. Look at the thing people. She looks like she is working the streets, not going to a formal. Parents...get a life for even letting her out the door with that thing on!

Look, if she was 18- she has every right to wear that dress. Now, was it appropriate? Not for that function, but that is her perogative. The school did what they thought was necessary... Her parent's should have talked to her before she left the house... But, so what? She wanted to look h ot- get over it.

still boils down to parental control, all the way down to the people handling the prom. Simply if your under your parents house, The house rules.

And who taught you??? I make typing errors, somtimes, but you barley know how to respond yourself, so are you going to pass along that fine education to others? Please DON'T. Do them a favor. Tell them to stay in school, and that just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should!
