Unfortunately your quite right...<quoted text>
It's a Catch-22.
We want higher wages, but are not willing to give out corporate tax breaks. Every successful corporation spreads their manufacturing out - globally if you will. A perfect example is the 3rd best engine in the world. The Chrysler 5.7L Hemi is and will always be produced in Mexico. Even "American-made" Harley-Davidson imports many suspension parts from overseas - including electronics and forks. It's really beyond politics nowadays - the best you can ever hope for is 75% American-made, and don't look for that in your new car, boat or motorcycle either.
We have no one to blame but ourselves for kicking Dr. Demming's practices out of manufacturing. Japan embraced them and succeeded - it was only then that we (The US) started paying attention to Six Sigma quality procatices.
True story bro'.
And now we're trying to fix it by "binge drinking" so to speak with entitlements to prop up what we're missing...
Which will only make things worse...
