U.S. Postal Service "celebrates" jury duty with postage stamp

Does anyone like serving on a jury? Now, I didn't ask if anyone feels it's their civic duty. I asked if anyone liked it. I think the percentage who would say "yes" would be lower than Bush's approval rating.

oh yes absolutely. what is better than spending 8 hours sitting on a hard chair watching a snowy version of soap operas and game shows on a black and white tv drinking cold coffee and pretending to read the latest issue of star magazine so that i don't have to make small talk with the person who really DOES like serving on jury duty. pays $8 a day...includes a 10% off coupon for a McDonalds lunch....
i think that's why we only get called every couple years---wayyyyy too much fun, takes that long to recover!

Oh I'll never stop voting, and I will serve my time on jury duty like a good little citizen...even got picked last time for a 3 day trial! some things you have to do even if you don't like it right?

i don't think they will ever pick me for some reason

yeah, i thought that too 'they never pick insurance people' i everybody said...guess i just go "lucky"...

My Brother got picked for jury duty.
( 3 months after he passed away)
It stated Failure to appear will result in arrest.
My Sister-in-law had to produce his death certificate, in order to prove her claim.

I'm very sorry to hear about your brother.

If it had been me, I would have let them arrest him.(head shaking)
