All the lyrics for all your favorite artists!

Just the good ol' Rio,
Never meanin' no harm,
Beats all you've ever saw, been in trouble with the law since the day he was born.

Straight'nin' the curve,
Flat'nin' the hills.
Someday the tacos might get 'em, but the law never will.

Makin' his way,
The only way he know how,
That's just a little bit more than the law will allow.

Just good ol' Rio,
Wouldn't change if he could,
Fightin' the system like a true modern day Robin Hood.

Rio was my cousin, and i am in the service been in 4 years and ive meet alog bigger punks in the service and thats your tax money paying their paychecks. You dont know the circumstances in detail of what happened neither do i but something had to set him off. The man just wanted to score some smoke not a big deal but since its illegal most places you have to deal with scumbags and this is what happens. Its unfortunate. Ive known Rio all his life as short as it was, so before you judge or comment please take into concideration family members or friends of your own that do thinvs yo
u dont agree with or make bad decisions such as this. Thank you. MM2

You are in the military and you think "scoring some smoke" is no big deal? Interesting!

I'm retired military and "back in my day" it was the other way around. I hate to think that the military is ok with this!

Cousin Rio was mighty fine dude, he had an urge to smoke weed and a bad attitude,
It doesn't make him bad, his cousin Rish said, but when he missed his first shot, he wound up really dead,
Now the Devil went up to Kansas
He was looking for a soul to steal
He was in a bind
'Cause he was way behind
And he was willing to make a deal

When he came upon this young man
Smoking on a doobie and plain' it hot
And the devil jumped
Up on a hickory stump
And said boy let me tell you what

Now you smoke a pretty good maryjane, boy
But give the devil his due
I'll bet a joint of gold
Against your soul
'Cause I think I'm better than you

The boy said my name's Rio
And it might be a sin
But I'll take your bet
And you're gonna regret
'Cause I'm the best there's ever been

The devil opened up his baggy
And he said I'll start this show
And fire flew from his fingertips
As he rolled up his homegrown

Then he pulled the smoke into his lungs
And it made a [sic] evil hiss
And a band of demons joined in
And it sounded something like this

When the devil finished
Rio said well you're pretty good old son
Just sit right in that chair right there
And let me show you how it's done

He smoked Fire on the Mountain
Run boys, run
The devil's in the House of the Rising Sun
Chicken in a bread pan picking out dough
Granny does your dog bite
No child, no

The devil bowed his head
Because he knew that he'd been beat
And he laid that golden doobie
On the ground at Rio's feet

Rio said, Devil just come on back
If you ever want to try again
I done told you once you son of a bitch
I'm the best there's ever been

And he smoked Fire on the Mountain
Run boys, run
The devil's in the House of the Rising Sun
Chicken in a bread pan picking out dough
Rio with a shotgun
No child, no

Yes Mr. Smith, we get it, thank you for taking the time to point this out repeatedly. Not to be disrespectful, but in my opinion any teen riding around with a loaded shotgun in the car is not an outstanding citizen, rather an incident waiting to happen. Whether he actually shot at the suspects is not important - he produced the weapon in an aggressive, offensive manner, in a public area where innocent citizens could have been injured. I totally agree that he should not have died for 'wanting to smoke a little pot', but for producing a shotgun in an intimidating manner? Thatís something you may want to ponder a bit.
You must not be very old. Back in the late 70's when I was in high school, most of the boys had shotguns or rifles in thier cars and trucks, and oh my gosh! it was not illegal for them to be in the high school parking lot with those guns. The difference is when those guns are used for violence against other people.

But before we judge who was right and who was wrong, lets get the facts, and so far, I don't think all the facts have been released to the public.

How do you know he didn't go to college. Maybe you should go back to school for spelling. Anyway some people join the service, after they get out of high school, then Uncle Sam helps pay for college after they have served their country. Others join the reserves and get help to pay for college and some people even go to college firt then join the service.

This boy was a former student of mine and as such I had the pleasure of knowing him in a much different capacity than that of street kid. He was bright and articulate and no matter what his later choices in life entailed, his death will provoke sadness for those of us who knew him. I can not speak to any gang affiliation, but as far as I knew he was not Muslim. Regardless, his actions should not be glorified nor his death trivialized.
