Your knowledge of Mormonism is very ignorant. Go look up Jeff Lindsey or Jeff Lindsay, Fair Lds or some other source and get yourself educated. I am a linguist. I know a dummy like Joseph Smith could not have written the Book of Mormon. Also there is no plagiarism. The Book of Mormon simply quotes the bible for a very minor part of its content. The New Testament also quotes the Old Testament. The Catholic church is dead less than 1 out of a thousand go to church or know anything about it. Pull your head out of wherever it is please.

Why did you not respond to my question? What evidence is there that Linus was picked to take the place of Peter and be over all the church? There is none. You believe in a medieval myth.

As people get more educated, the number of religious followers will decrease. As it should be.

It is incredulous to myself that individuals are so full of their own intellectual pride that they believe that their intellectual powers usurp 2,000 years of spiritual and intellectual dynamics, not to mention chronological history and tradition. When the creature redefines the maker, something is indeed perverted.

Science does not discount or deny the creator but affirm. Studying life on a cellular level, the complexity of biochemical reactions, the orderly arrangement thereof, the incredible ammount of information encoded biochemically on a microscopic, cellular level,I cannot honestly say that this all occurred by happenstance.

Ok give me an example of a successful modern atheist government sense you obviously want to be ruled by them. You have no problem talking about the past when it comes to mistakes of people who believe in religion. So what you are really saying is you can not refute my argument and so you attack me.

Hey Great Dane, there is nothing you can say that will convince people to lean your way or believe you. Only the Holy Ghost can do that.

So one Christian cult bashing another Christian cult. What else's new Christians of all kinds have been bashing, murdering, pilaging, raping, and oppresing civilization for centuries, of course all in the name of the Prince of peace.

Believers in the fantasy world of religion are fools. Aliens make more sense.

If people are really curious about knowing the truth they will go to lds.org and find out. But most people on this thread want to dig in the dirt.

The mormon church produces a lot of good citizens,no doubt about it. But from a theological standpoint,a person has a hole in his head to buy true mormon theology;that is, if you can keep up with it's ever changing face in order to keep pace(acceptance)with mainstream christianity. Get beyond the christian facade and you will see that the mormon faith does not believe in the inherent divinity of Christ but believes he was a created spirit person,on a par with lucifer, who attained a higher degree of glory through his actions on earth and that you too can do the same(by living a virtuous mormon life, you can attain christ-like status in the spirit life).

Wow Steve, where did you get your theological training from? You are very stupid. Christianity has changed several times. You have the Christianity of before Nicea, Aquinas, Luther, Calvin, Wesley, and John Darby. You are probably a follower of John Darby, but are too ignorant to know it. I agree with you on one thing. I would not go to LDS.org . unless you just want the basics. Most people want in depth insights and I would go to FAIR or Jeff Lindsay for the pro and Utah Light House for the anti. Most other sites are just junk. Sandra is an idiot, but Jerald actually had a brain. Most of the changes in Mormonism are policy changes or quasi doctrinal changes and not doctrinal changes. A good way to tell the difference is to see if a doctrine is in the standard works and every leader of the church has taught it. Most controversial "doctrines" do not in my opinion meet this test.
