It's not what I SAY. It is the teaching of ALL Christian denominations. Would you say that Jews are Christians ? Would you say that Muslims are Christians ? Would you say that Hindus are Christians ? Would you say that Buddhists are Christians ? Probably not.
Muslims and Jews do not believe Jesus was the son of god. Mormon's do. So you are comparing apples to oranges.

well, the jews and muslims are jsut different sects of your religious cult. they do worship the same proven false god..

moromons do think jesus was the son of the god of abraham so that would make them christian, no? just another branch of your sect, like lutherans or baptists...( but not the irish protestants!!!!...a nod to "Blazing Saddles"....)

ahhh...traditional marriage! we should also keep the tradition where women were traded like cattle in marriage. if we want to be true to its traditions...

and women should not be able to inherit or own property or wealth when married, it belongs to her husband, her master...

ain't tradition grand?!?

What makes a belief in a Christian god rational?

Well you got them there. Magic underwear and the baptism of dead babies are clearly irrational compared to ordinary christian beliefs like a virgin birth, talking snake, rising from the dead, walking on water and turning it into wine.

jesus set up the kindom of god he preached for, as that is what a messiah was. there were many messiahs in his time... he would have ethnically cleansed the holy land of all but the jews..that is the kingdom of god he was talking about, not what Paul told you. it would have been the twelve tribes of isreal ruling over the holy land again, wiped clean of all but jews...again....

when you actually look at what jesus preached and not what your cult told you, you realize he was just another jew preaching for his people..not you, just his people..

history is fun!

It's not a matter of hate. It's a matter of voting for someone who shares your beliefs and values and is going to represent you in a republic.

I'm a church-going Protestant. Mormon values and Roman Catholic values, and beliefs, are NOT Protestant values.

In the Protestant denominations I belong to (ELCA & UCC), if you are LGBT and want to be married in the church, or ordained, their reaction is "GREAT ! You are welcome to do so !" The Mormons and Roman Catholics do NOT share that belief.

it's a matter of voting for someone who shares your beliefs and values and is going to represent you in our republic.

I'm agnostic, first.

Second, neither you nor anyone else knows what ACTUALLY Jesus taught or thought. The Gospels were not written by anyone who was contemporary with Jesus.

You need to get out more if you actually believe folks who follow a particular religion are all clones of each other and always agree with 100% with their church’s teachings.

I know plenty of Catholics who support gay marriage. I also have only really known one Mormon, but he was my close buddy and we partied all the time together, back in the day.
