This happened in the county I live in. The woman offered to change her shirt, but the judge had her jailed anyway. She was not treated too decently at the jail. All she did was give a ride to a friend. She should have been given the option of leaving the courtroom. I think the judge is a little power-hungry.

I disagree. One should display a certain level of decorum and respect in the court room. Kudos to the judge for not tolerating that kind of crap in her court room. Young people, it's time to get a clue.

She didn't even know earlier in the day that she'd be going to court. She gave a friend a ride. She was coming from her gym. And she offered to change her shirt. The judge overreacted.

She must have had another shirt with her if she offered to change it.

Filthy animal judge. Prolly didn't get any from his fat skanky bed partner so he was pissed at the world. Like most judges.

Honestly, then she should not have entered the courtroom in the first place. Personally, I stay away from wearing offensive slogans, or crude remarks on my clothing. What you advertise says a lot about you.

Though I think some t-shirts are very funny. There is a place for such raw humor, a bar, home, and so on. Wearing these shirts in public for children of reading age isn't my idea of being very respectful or smart.
Really, she should of know better and sat in the hall. Seems like an officer of the court would of given her a heads up on that.
Are people really that dumb?
.... never mind.

She was wearing another shirt under the T. I'll bet it never occurred to her what slogan she had on the shirt.

F Troop. My all-time favorite show. Do what I did- get a couple of seasons worth on DVD.

"Associate Judge Helen Rozenberg held Jennifer LaPenta, who was attending a hearing in a friend's case, in contempt of court for wearing a T-shirt that read: "I have the p***y, so I make the rules.""

Once my two youngest were age-appropriate, I'd allow/encourage watching Judge Judy and Cops on the color TV.

With the advice: Your Mom and I didn't raise you to be on these shows.

So far, these teaching aids have helped!!

Yes she does, lol, in spades!

Our courts down here have a person at the entrance of the actual court room. If you aren't dressed properly, you don't get in, simple.
