?????????? WHAT DOES YOUR RACE HAVE TO DO WITH ELIGIBILITY FOR VISION OR OTHER BENEFITS?
I do agree with the serious lack of jobs though. Rick
Let's see. It says you're posting from Steamboat Springs Colorado. I used to live close to there in Frisco. I know it's an upscale area. So you might not have the best understanding of how race plays a factor in receiving benefits. But for some reason it seems that blacks go into the welfare office and get everything under the sun with very little questions asked.
My best guess is it's generations of welfare recipients that hand down secrets of the best ways to scam the system. If your grandmother, mother collect welfare, surely you are going to know most everything about the system and ways to get out of doing a lot of the stuff required to qualify.
Take your average white person that goes to collect welfare for the 1st time. They will not understand there are ways to get out of going to required job search classes or many of the other ways to scam the system.

Hi. Actually I am posting from Wichita Ks. I grew up in S.S. & have lived all over the country, still have family, friends in western Co. & upscale only means there are plenty of working to help those that can afford a little more.
I am actually on s.s.d.i. & have a teenage daughter & have worked about every type of dirty job out there. I volunteer at shelters, food banks & really do have a good insight into who or what is out there.
Have seen plenty of beat the system social dead beats of ALL races also. I,d rather not try to to have a "discussion" on, is the system racist or are the people seeing it or commenting about it racist. Rick

See, that's the thing. A discussion is nearly impossible because if I point out that I don't like the things I see, guess what's the first label thrown out there? Yep, racist.
Last I checked this is the USA and we have something called free speech. I can't stand the people that try SO hard to be politically correct and don't say what they REALLY think.
Just like you said "Have seen plenty of beat the system social dead beats of ALL races also"... well of course. Just as there are whites in prison. But let's look at %. 13-14% of the population sure reeks havoc on our society.

A days wages for a loaf of bread.

When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say,“Come!” I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying,“Two pounds of wheat for a day’s wages, and six pounds of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!” Revelation 6:5-6 NIV

It means she won't get as much help as if she was a minority. People throw the book at White people and bend over backwards and beat each other up to get to help minority members.

well the legal point here is that the people threw the money into a pool that does not mean they decided who should get it. until the owners of the pool collects it, do they really own it ? and have these people who are so quick to prosecutem, been claiming this source of income ?

This story is just a hint of America's dirty little secret. In this supposedly greatest and most charitable country in the world, we have a subculture of voiceless, helpless people suffering and starving, hung out to dry by our inattention to the problem.

In a country where so much greed and corruption goes unpunished, a woman is arrested for trying to keep from starving. When I read stories like this, it's hard for me to be proud of my country.

And yet, even before the ink was dry on the latest hike of the debt limit, the US sent $1.6 Billion to Pahkistahn, evidently because 'we like them'. More than our own people, it would seem.

If I knew that coins tossed into fountains helped people that truly needed this small sum of money, then I would throw more coins into fountains.

I don't think you understand the issues. You ought to stick to your juvenile punch lines about pizza theft.

Yes it is, it is private property, where she was arrested for trespassing. If someone threw a quarter into your yard, it's yours. If someone came on to your lawn to retrieve the quarter, they are wrongfully trespassing, and you could press charges. Of course you wouldn't because you are most likely a decesnt person like 99% of the population. They ahole who DID press charges however must be in that remaining 1%.
