I do chance my username to fit the topix at times, but I don't have 100000 actual profiles that talk to each other! Unlike you and a few others :)

When I went to Mass on Sunday, a few of us were having a conversation about talking to non-Christians, particularly with a view to evangelisation. Somehow the subject came round to Jesus and His trial, when He was silent before Herod and the Sanhedrin. I expressed a view I've heard on several occasions - that Jesus remained silent particularly before Herod because He knew that Herod was so confirmed in his lifestyle that He would be wasting His time saying anything that may convert Herod. This is in contrast with the many occasions when Jesus talked to non-Jews or Jews that were in bad standing such as tax-collectors, who may have been open to conversion.

Wasn't one of the apostles a tax collector?
Yes, It was Mathew also known as Levi.
I looked it up;

..."Jesus called Matthew to be one of the Twelve Disciples. After his call, Matthew invited Jesus home for a feast. On seeing this, the Scribes and the Pharisees criticized Jesus for eating with tax collectors and sinners. This prompted Jesus to answer,“I came not to call the righteous, but sinners”(Mark 2:17)...

Ahhh, music... Yes, I'm rather fond of the music of the day. "I'm a picker, I'm a grinner, I'm a lover and I'm a sinner. I play my music in the sun."
