Will turn up in burger meat over here in the UK most likely next.

Remember the Irish supply source chain Tesco burger horsemeat padding out fiasco of 2 weeks back?

With Sectarean civil war in Ireland still in progress, the forensic testing of meat was actually set up to identify human DNA in the burger meat (several missing persons cases over here).

It turned up Horse instead in that case,(average of 27% in Tesco burgers of the day "ranch house brand") and a small amount of pig DNA as a result of contamination from a pork pie mix run through the same supply source machine. Contamination from the same machine appeared in other runs through the same source supply machine in mixes sent to other supermarkets in different brands.

Still no sign of the cause of "sudden death syndrome"; NOTE: was previously seen spectacularly in soccer players,(wonder if they ate the burgers?)

The horse could of lost its footing and fell so hard it died instantly with collapsed lungs. If she was in saddle she could have easily been pinned under.
Or it could have had a heart failure like Eric Lamaze's horse Hickstead did in competition.
This is horrid and sad. Please don't watch it if you're sensitive:

Looks like a 2nd case of "sudden death syndrome".

Only ever seen it before in 2 sectors, professional footballers & meat industry workers & meat renderers.
Also noticed in passing a few random cases among young-ish otherwise fit & healthy humans, particularly in random car crashes & pedestrian commutes.

There may be a link, but as it is a difficult situation to cure (involves death), there is little personal evidence from the victim as to a causative background.

Also noticed an aside with the Irish horseburger scandal.
The major missing persons cases over there appears to be a 'footvote' as a result of the massive debt incurred during the "boom years" and the proliferation of sub legal day labour.
The same 'footvote' may now be affecting the mainland UK where the same Irish day labour sector had for a long time screwed up the UK employment sector trading as employment agencies.
In the case of Ireland the missing persons appear to have been living in rented properties or had a major mortgage & no job.

Ireland also now reporting a major upswing in its endemic gangsterism. Another link perhaps?

The 'footvote' in the UK is probably responsible for a sudden absence of the bulk of the E.European Eurozone population such as the Poles whom were very prominent by their presence during the latter years of the labour party in office.
There is (particularly in London) a major increase in destitute Indian slum dwellers with no papers turning up in shelters for the homeless, and a surprisingly large number of brick built sheds in Pakistani expat back gardens housing destitute Indian slum dwellers at ridiculously high rent.
Unlike the eastern Europeans these are being refused entry into their country of origin by the country of origin when they attempt to leave their closet brick built hell.

Thanks I needed a good laugh.

As far as the topic.......ouch!
That's one of the things you Don't want to happen
when you ride a horse.

I've found it's safer ON the horse
not UNDER the horse;).....(is safer a word?? lol
or is it more safe???)

Thanks but no thanks on the link.
There is no way in hell ..........

As far as the horse it's just hard to tell.
They rarely ever die outright in a fall...doesn't
mean it couldn't have happened.
More likely an aneurism or heart failure.

I can't understand how any country
could slaughter horses for meat.

Eating horse, to me at least, is
like eating dog. Sure I may eat it
if I were starving...but come on!

The whole sale slaughter of these
majestic animals is an atrocity.

Kaufman TX.
Home of one of three horse slaughter houses in the States.

Working at a restaurant in a neighboring town,
I waited on some travelers from France.
When asked what sights they were seeing in rural East TX made the comment
"We are here to buy horses."

Struck me as odd, because the few ranches that sold quality horses fit for export garnered a lot of attention and in the news when a sale was made.
(Talking million dollar thoroughbreds, or show horses.)

It was later that I learned about the slaughter house and put the facts together to an unappetizing conclusion.
:-/

BTW, I do think the place was closed down a few years ago, during the mad cow scare.
