But no, I meant it as in taking personal responsibility.
Ok, I give - you want the choice to not carry health insurance and not pay your bills, right?

No. I want my right to by insurance without Obama jacking the market up.

The Ferret did bring up an interesting point (rare for him, I know); if congress isn't affected by Obamacare, why would they exempt themselves from it?

If you've shopped for health care insurance as long as I have, you'd know that the cost of heath insurance never goes down - ever.

And...you still have your choice - it's just going to cost you a little more at tax time.

Personally, after paying for all the idiots out there without health insurance for over 50 years, I couldn't be happier that everyone has to pay now.

Any particular reason you're trying to toss M's salad today?

Why would you be happier? You are still paying. Difference is, you are now paying for their policies, AND you are paying for their out of pocket portion as well.

My point is this - when I need to go in for my annual checkup, it is now paid 100% by my insurance provider. I keep my blood pressure and glucose level in check and see my doctor on a regular basis - I don't pay a dime for the checkups - as a matter of fact, I get a $300 bonus for an outstanding health screening every year. My health insurance went up $2 for my monthly premium this year. 10 years ago my healthcare insurance was going up between $150-200 a year - every year. Don't try to tell me that I'm paying for anyone else now - and if I am, they're an awfully cheap date.

Okay folks, I know you think the C-Span Channel that broadcasts all those Congressional hearings is boring, but, really, you should have been around to watch the Senate Finance Committee's hearing Wednesday on the Affordable Health Care Insurance Oversight.
Folks, you haven't seen so many faces of misery since you watched Les Miserables for three and a half hours and they were all Democrats. And one of them, Senator Max Baucus, was the primary sponsor of Obamacare in the Senate!
Now, try to follow me here because this gets pretty complicated.(It seems that Nancy Pelosi was right; you DO have to pass Obamacare to find out what's in it and the Democrats are now learning what the Republicans warned them about. It's an unworkable mess that is throwing millions of Americans off the health care rolls!)
Okay, apparently, tens of thousands of American employers began throwing workers off their health care plans and opting to pay the much lower federal fine for not offering health care for their workers. Thousands more are even now converting their full time workers to part time workers by limiting working hours per week to less than 30, in compliance with Obamacare rules.
Remember when Paul Ryan and the Republicans predicted employers would do this?
Remember when Democrats were warned that employers would move to save operating expenses by moving their entire work force into federal healthcare exchanges?
Now, these workers who have lost their health care benefits are busy trying to sign up for state health care exchanges.(There are Internet sites available if your state has agreed to sign up to Obamacare).
However, when these American workers, soon to be without employee provided health care, go to the Health Exchange to sign up,
they are finding they are not qualified!
It seems that during the signup process, applicants are required to fill in various income and benefit data, which then flows over to IRS computers who then are to spit out what your premium costs will be and how much federal tax credits you'll receive in order to receive subsidies to help you afford health care premiums that are as much as 30% more than you were paying under your employer’s plan!
Big Problem!
The IRS is only allowing somewhere around 9% subsidy support for Obamacare Health care Exchange premiums that are priced so much higher than the worker was paying under his employer plan!
(Surprise, Surprise! Remember Republicans warning that forcing working Americans to pay for the 30 million leaches who pay nothing for their health care under Medicaid would drive the premiums of working Americans higher?)
So you're saying domestic and multi-national corporations are now:

1. opportunistically kicking their employees off of insurance programs they previously provided and paying a fine instead?

2. reducing their employees' hours so they don't have to provide them with insurance coverage!

3. these are the same greedy companies that outsourced jobs to other countries, again to pay their CEOs and stockholders even more money?

4. these are the same greedy companies that have expected employees to produce the same amount of work now in 40 hours as they used to in 50 hours, again to pay their employees less pay?

Yet you're outraged, not with the greedy companies, for once again ripping off their employees, to line their own and their fat cat stockholders' pockets, but with the guy who tried to pass Regs. that would provide insurance to all American citizens?

Thanks for once again confirming how much you hate your fellow hard working man and how much you love the enough profit is never enough, greedy, manipulative corporate employers! Wow, how ashamed should you be right now! Whew! Thanks for sharing!:)

Um, genius, did you READ the "bill"??? The "Constitutionality" of this pieceofshit legislation was only challenged for the "individual mandate". Whatever Obama & co. did to intimidate "Justice" Roberts appears to have worked, as it was declared "Constitutional" under the commerce act.

Were you actually to read this bill, you would find there are MANY things in it that are unconstitutional, from the government having "real time access to bank accounts" to special provisions for Muslims (remember that whole "separation of church & state thingy that you libscum are aways invoking) to un-elected bureaucrats running the whole damn thing.

Read the bill, then get back to me, you ignorant, self absorbed jackass.

"domestic and multi-national corporations" account, arguably, for about half of the jobs in the US. The other half, small business, is going to get hammered. Yep, those fat cats over at Stella's Bar and Grill need to be brought to justice!!!!

So you're saying the SCOTUS s*rewed the pooch on their ruling? I don't disagree! It's not their first time at the rodeo! Thanks for your consistently-biased, polar feedback. Spoken as a true CON-bot!

You ever blame the CONs you apologize, make excuses and lie for here daily for anything? I didn't think so. You think your empty suits are better than their empty suits and you read every page of this bill?

Sure you did!:) Bwahaahaahaa!

Evening, Captn! Can we get a source or site for your percentages above? Thanks!
