Accomplishments? Obama has a bunch of them. He raised our taxes to pay for a bunch of illegal aliens. He destroyed our reputation in the world. He increased racial tensions dramatically. He doubled the amount of people that need food stamps. He oversaw the first declaration of Martial law in the US (Boston).

Do you ever actually research your posts before typing or as all Conservaturds, just let them fly from the hip?

Martial law is the imposition of military rule by military authorities over designated regions on an emergency basis. I failed to see any military imposition of Marshall Law in Boston - not in the last two centuries anyways.

Did you know that black voters outnumber white voters in this country? And it's not because there's so many black people - it's because of all the lazy-a$$ white people of voting age that never vote. I really don't think you can blame that on Obama.

Aside from actually stating the recession was partially Bush's fault, there is little in the way any POTUS can do to change the way the economy goes. He doesn't control the price of gas - which is driven by supply and demand. Even the Dow isn't under his control - which in turn drives the job's forecast and new housing starts.

As for raising taxes, he actually gave every red-blooded working American a tax break two years ago in the form of the Social Security Tax Holiday. That expired the first of this year after putting a lot of money back in the pockets of working class Americans.

If you were to put the blame on anyone (not that it'll change your mind), place it on the same politicians that YOU vote into office - regardless of the party. They're the ones who let the sequesture slip and affect thousands of military contracts in the private sector - ultimately costing Americans their jobs.

Do some more research next time - everyone's counting on you.

Obama care is a tax on the middle class. The tax increase on tobacco is a tax on the middle class. Printing money by the train load is a huge tax on all of us as we devalue the dollar

You mean the one that says everyone must have healthcare insurance?

Yeah, that's a bad one - especially if you've never paid your hospital bills in the past. What were we thinking? Freedom to choose not to take responsibility for yourself - yep.

Obamacare Medical Device Tax: Medical device manufacturers employ 409,000 people in 12,000 plants across the country. Obamacare imposes a new 2.3 percent excise tax on gross sales – even if the company does not earn a profit in a given year. In addition to killing small business jobs and impacting research and development budgets, this will make everything from pacemakers to artificial hips more expensive.(Bill: PPACA; Page: 1,980-1,986)

Obamacare High Medical Bills Tax: Before Obamacare, Americans facing high medical expenses were allowed a deduction to the extent that those expenses exceeded 7.5 percent of adjusted gross income (AGI). Obamacare now imposes a threshold of 10 percent of AGI. Therefore, Obamacare not only makes it more difficult to claim this deduction, it widens the net of taxable income. According to the IRS, 10 million families took advantage of this tax deduction in 2009, the latest year of available data. Almost all are middle class. The average taxpayer claiming this deduction earned just over $53,000 annually. ATR estimates that the average income tax increase for the average family claiming this tax benefit will be $200 -$400 per year. To learn more about this tax, click here.(Bill: PPACA; Page: 1,994-1,995)

Obamacare Flexible Spending Account Tax: The 30 - 35 million Americans who use a pre-tax Flexible Spending Account (FSA) at work to pay for their family’s basic medical needs face a new Obamacare cap of $2,500. This will squeeze $13 billion of tax money from Americans over the next ten years.(Before Obamacare, the accounts were unlimited under federal law, though employers were allowed to set a cap.) Now, a parent looking to sock away extra money to pay for braces will find themselves quickly hitting this new cap, meaning they would have to pony up some or all of the cost with after-tax dollars.

Needless to say, this tax will especially impact middle class families.

There is one group of FSA owners for whom this new cap will be particularly cruel and onerous: parents of special needs children. Nationwide there are several million families with special needs children and many of them use FSAs to pay for special needs education. Tuition rates at one leading school that teaches special needs children in Washington, D.C.(National Child Research Center) can easily exceed $14,000 per year. Under tax rules, FSA dollars can be used to pay for this type of special needs education. This Obamacare tax provision will limit the options available to these families.(Bill: PPACA; Page: 2,388-2,389)

Starting in tax year 2014:

Obamacare Individual Mandate Non-Compliance Tax: Starting in 2014, anyone not buying “qualifying” health insurance – as defined by President Obama’s Department of Health and Human Services -- must pay an income surtax to the IRS. The Congressional Budget Office recently estimated that six million American families will be liable for the tax, and as pointed out by the Associated Press:“Most would be in the middle class.”

In addition, 100 percent of Americans filing a tax return (140 million filers) will be forced to submit paperwork to the IRS showing they either had “qualifying” health insurance for every month of the tax year or they obtained an exemption to the mandate.

So, you feel that SWAT teams ordering law abiding citizens(at gunpoint) to vacate their houses doesn't constitute martial law? You feel that the warrantless searches that the SWAT teams did was proper? Watch this video, realize there was no reason to suspect the bombers were in any of these homes, and then tell me the term Martial law doesn't apply

Who said anything about them giving that up?

Since the majority of congressmen/women are wealthy, it's probably a safe bet that many, if not most have additional policies. It'd be interesting to see how many would have to pay the "cadillac" tax.

Oh you mean, as in an act of God?

It doesn't - Martial Law is a military action. And nobody knew at the time if there were more bombs planted, who was planting the bombs or where more bombs were possible planted. The SWAT teams went door-to-door inquiring, not breaking down doors. SWAT did recon once they knew who they were looking for - and searched last known residences.

Like I asked, what exactly would you have done differently? These two had plans to bomb Times Square.

I don't suppose you saw the aftermath video when the police were pulling out of the neighborhood after capturing the second suspect, huh?
