Do you ever think as a hearse goes by,

that you may be the next to die?

They wrap you up in a big white sheet

From your head down to your feet.

They put you in a big black box,

And cover you up with dirt and rocks.

All goes well for about a week,

Then your coffin begins to leak.

not really... Edgar Allen Poe.. comes to mind..
or , The Creamation of Sam McGee...
many styles of art.. poetry. etc....
and many forms of humor..
all is not for all...

but, I stand reprimanded
for my part in the "disrespect"

The Hearse Song

Do you ever think as a hearse goes by,

that you may be the next to die?

They wrap you up in a big white sheet

From your head down to your feet.

They put you in a big black box,

And cover you up with dirt and rocks.

All goes well for about a week,

Then your coffin begins to leak.

The worms crawl in, the worms crawl out,

The worms play pinochle on your snout.

They eat your eyes, they eat your nose,

They eat the jelly between your toes.

A big green worm with rolling eyes,

Crawls in your stomach and out your eyes.

Your stomach turns a slimy green,

And pus pours out like whipping cream.

You spread it on a slice of bread,

And that's what you eat when you are dead

Not meant as a reprimand..
just an opinion, but
thank you, Reebie.

No hard feelings(:

Here's a sweet little poem..
by the grweat

Robert Louis Stevenson:

- My Shadow -

"I have a little shadow that goes in and out with me,
And what can be the use of him is more than I can see.
He is very, very like me from the heels up to the head;
And I see him jump before me, when I jump into my bed.

The funniest thing about him is the way he likes to grow—
Not at all like proper children, which is always very slow;
For he sometimes shoots up taller like an india-rubber ball,
And he sometimes gets so little that there's none of him at all.

He hasn't got a notion of how children ought to play,
And can only make a fool of me in every sort of way.
He stays so close beside me, he's a coward you can see;
I'd think shame to stick to nursie as that shadow sticks to me!

One morning, very early, before the sun was up,
I rose and found the shining dew on every buttercup;
But my lazy little shadow, like an arrant sleepy-head,
Had stayed at home behind me and was fast asleep in bed."

Columbus area has passed the February rainfall record of 9.41 inches. With 10.5 inches already and more rain expected this morning, the total was not expected to be even close for Columbus to top the all-time record of 13.6 inches in December 2009.

The heart is a lonely hunter
As it tracks it's pry
Only to lose it's sights
on any given day

Alone it does wonder
through cities, streets and towns
Looking for that someone
Sometimes never to be found

Always hopeful, always waiting
wanting to fill the void
Always open to the mystery
of a love story yet untold...

I had a bad day, and to myself i said
you gotta get out,
get out of your head..
So I climbed outta my head
and went to the mall
it helped when I saw
handsome and tall
I got out of my head
and went for a swim
Ill be darn....
again, I saw him....
I got out of my head
and played on the slingo..
I saw him again,
playin the bingo
Ok, I give..
Now Im going to bed..
at least for a little while.
I got outta my head..

Just for fun>>

Once I owned a playful cat
it lived with me in my house..
(Bet you ALL thought now... the next
line... would rhyme with the word 'MOUSE'(:

but NO!! in fact it doesn't,
it has to do with me instead
and how cross I would become
when that cat jumped on my bed.

She brought along uninvited guests
embedded in her fur
and they thought my woolen blanket
was softer by far, than her...

They'd always start to come alive
when I tried to sleep at night,
they'd jump about and pinch my
@ss..
and BOY! could those guys bite!

So the moral of this story is..

IF you ever want a pet..
Get one that has NO fur coat..

and you'll have no regret(:

Candidate Mayo's strutting in the dirt;
Look at his face, he's starting to hurt;
Here he is, thinking he's a great big star;
But before too long he's gonna D.O.R.;
Seen guys like you a hundred times;
I'm telling you, Mayo, I'm one of a kind;
Gonna give you more than you can take;
I'm gonna watch you crumble and watch you break
