Interesting, you have quite a collection ! I will save this information and keep it in mind when I buy a new stereo.<quoted text>
Quiex Super Vinyl Profile is a proprietary method of Classic Records for pressing records. It is supposed to give a very high audio quality. They are pressed on 200-gram records which is heavy and gives stability and durability to the LP. The album jackets are exactly like the original releases....complete with all the inserts and even no bar codes.
I was lucky to get a complete Quiex SVP Zeppelin collection back when they only cost $50 for the single albums. Now they go for around $200 each on ebay.
The other stuff is my turntable system...Dual 1264 turntable into a Pioneer SX-3800 phono power amp, the tube pre to warm the signal, the ADC Equalizer, and the the Harman Kardon audio receiver.
I am always weary about buying cd's that have been recorded from the original recordings, but I'm thinking the older stuff like from the 60's you can't get around it ? I hear cracks and pops and hisses.
