California has the most extreme gun control laws in the country, crime is out of control there. They are releasing prisoners early due to extreme overcrowding. They are doubling down and trying to pass even more gun control. Crime is going to get worse. So, it has failed there, but the Prez wants to take failure and try in nationally. Stupid.
He, and the rest of the liberal brain trusts are flaming IDIOTS. They don't learn from history, they just try to re-write it to suit their "needs".

That wasn't a tax increase - that was a Social Security tax that's always been there - you've just been on "tax holiday" since 2011. Thank Obama for the extra $2,000 (on average) in your pocket for the last two years.
There is now a tax on the portion of insurance paid for by our employers. If that isn't a tax increase what is? When and with whom did the tax holidays originate?

Is Obama going to try to Prohibition again? Keep trying failed policy, because it only failed because Obama did't try it yet! Also, why the heck is Obama giving Egypt and its extremist Islamist government jet fighters, tanks and weaponry? Afti Morsi gave that anti-semitic rant, you might think it is not a good idea to give the radical Muslim Brotherhood these gifts to crush the moderate democracy advocates...

Something I meant to say yesterday and didn't get to, but people really need to think about this. My job puts me face to face with these numbers. Consider one family of illegal immigrants with a mom, dad, three kids, and a couple of recent, magically appeared new family members fresh from Mexico. Now, and this is a fact I have seen, imagine all three of the kids were l, to some degree, premature and required NICU stays, however, one of those babies ended up with leftover preemie issues and went home with feeding tube, oxygen, ventilator, and with physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Baby now qualifies for SSI at about $600/month. Medicaid pays for private nursing care at around $16,000 a month, the original NICU stay was probably a few hundred thousand dollars, special feeding formulas can run $25-$30 a can and last 1-2 days, therapy visits around $50 each, specialist visits at least one a month at least $500 ambulance transport to and from each appointment because no one in the family can drive the baby to the doctor, WIC, food stamps, and we haven't even started to add up the huge cost of equipment and supplies every month, and mega multiply it if any complications require surgery and other treatment. Multiply all that for hundreds or thousands of kids must in the Houston area, also, dont forget the senseless ER visits tonTexas Children's daily for sore throats, ear aches, coughs, and stomach viruses.

If frivolous suits were dramatically reduced and insurance made available across state lines, we wouldn't have any need for "The Affordable Care Act", which will perversely have the exact opposite effect on healthcare while driving down the quality. It's not about health and it's not about care. It's about CONTROL, and since healthcare is 1/6th of the US economy, well, you know.
And "if" money grew on trees, there'd be no need for taxes.

Former Softcore Porn Star is China’s Hottest New Politician

At a time when Chinese officials are burning up social media sites with their appearances in amateur sex tapes, a professional is making waves with a move into politics.

Actress Diana Pang, well known in Hong Kong for starring roles films like 1997’s “Erotic Ghost Story – Perfect Match,” caused a stir online after reporters spotted her attending a local meeting of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Congress (CPPCC), a legislative advisory body, in the western Chinese province of Gansu this week.

Great, now the Chinese are going to give the Republicans ideas for 2016.

I can see their campaign slogan now:

"Our last candidate was a clueless businessman, but we learned our lesson - this time we're giving America a clueless porn star."

Take a good long look at California, it is the testbed of Liberal ideas. The far left have ruined the demographics of California with illegal immigration. The prisons are so overcrowded, criminals are being released early on not-that-bad behavior or better. A gay judge refused to recuse himself on a gay marriage issue, and overturned the will of the people to protect real marriage. Soon you can marry your own siblings or parents. Worst gun control, sky high crime. Ratcheting up taxes on "the rich" and now those folks have had enough and are moving out, nice job on the tax base. Yeah over 51% pay no income tax, lotsa folks on the dole. High unemployment. Although Nancy Pelosi got an incredible amount of Obama-care waivers for her district, meaning her favorites can ignore the law for a while. Maybe she finally found what was in the bill. Obama wants to import this type of policy nationally. Seems like treason.

Interesting response. Do you think the government should limit food choices? I take no issue with warnings. Allow people to make their own choices. Allow the market to dictate.

Malpractice and civil suits, in all honesty, have been driving the cost of health insurance premiums up long before Obama has been president.
I didn’t suggest Obama was in anyway culpable for that. Why did you bring up Obama?

The ACLU has sued and won the right for sex offenders to not be banned from Facebook and other social media. Isn't the President going to protect our children from this, or does it not further any of his agenda to do so?
That’s actually a tough call. Child predators no doubt should be banned. There are a variety of “offenses” which will earn you the label sex offender.

But, this gets more complicated. Nobody has a right to access Facebook. If Facebook wants to ban sex offenders that should be their choice. It’s their web site using their servers. The ACLU was out of line.

You tout guns as a small percentage, I agree. How often are social media sites actually used to prey on children? That would too be a small percentage. The sad reality is the vast majority of sexual abuse of children is done by family and trusted family friends. Not the result of social media.

Never mind a parent should monitor their children’s computer usage. There’s no simple answer to these problems.

How exactly were his rights violated? There is no right to use Facebook. If Facebook want to ban all sex offenders then they should be able to do so. It’s their web site running on their servers.

well 1st ... his rights may have been violated was in reference to this statement..........

Massassachets Judge finds in favor of a prisoner....

NOTE: it states a prisoner , nothing specific , just a prison
that is why .... LAWYERS... fine print , fine print

now I don't have the particulars on that case . I make that assumption the only way you get out of jail is Rights/Confession to the charge crime by another party

INFO: Particulars is the material facts which a party to litigation alleges are true and which that party will seek to prove at trial ...
