That problem isnít limited to the delivery of babies. People will claim injury from treatment in hopes of hitting a jackpot. That costs you, me and everyone else a lot of money.

Malpractice and civil suits, in all honesty, have been driving the cost of health insurance premiums up long before Obama has been president.

But the Dems will never address tort reform because the trial lawyers are one of their biggest contributors, perhaps trumped only by unions. If frivolous suits were dramatically reduced and insurance made available across state lines, we wouldn't have any need for "The Affordable Care Act", which will perversely have the exact opposite effect on healthcare while driving down the quality. It's not about health and it's not about care. It's about CONTROL, and since healthcare is 1/6th of the US economy, well, you know.

I think that is why we need to pressure Congress into passing Tort Reform....Limiting how much damage, lawyers can do....

I'm sure that the acts of treason and consolidation of power by Obama will be well rewarded. The American People that survive will all adore and worship him, or else. Rome fell in a similar way.

Do you think Harry Reid would even contemplate pushing that through? Not if your life depended upon it. Trial lawyers are in the Dem's pockets. And all of ours.

They will eventually....if you recall, they never wanted to push through the bill, outlawing their investing with insider information....till 60 Minutes and public pressure forced them to do the right thing....

Gotta disagree, my friend. It is corporations that want to limit their liability. That's what is the crux of 'tort reform'. Someone cited the "Hot Coffee" case from McDonalds. Good ol' Karl Rove was in on trying to get the word out that the old woman who was so grotesquely disfigured was some money-grubbing, greedy, scam artist. Truth was, McDonalds was putting out an unsafe product. Common sense would say you don't sell 120 degree coffee without at least alerting people that they are buying a very dangerous product. I know all the usual suspect, conservative experts will be screaming "PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY!!!!" as if someone had just poured Micky D's coffee on their crotch but,the reality is, if they were so hurt or disabled for life (or a child/spouse/etc.) by some corporate or medical negligence, I bet they wouldn't want damages set at a fiscally conservative flat rate of $250,000 when they're maybe looking at a child's LIFETIME as a quadriplegic. That is what the corporations want out of tort reform. That is why they single out the more high-profile cases and muddy the waters there as if everyone was getting tens of millions every time they sued.

The ACLU has sued and won the right for sex offenders to not be banned from Facebook and other social media. Isn't the President going to protect our children from this, or does it not further any of his agenda to do so?

I do, but these social media sites are a stalking ground for predators. Rapists and pedephiles use them to find victims and should be banned for life from going on them. But banning guns used in a small percentage of crimes gets the full force and might of the Presidency. We are losing jobs and the economy is tanking, but Obama makes "gay transgender equality" the top prioity. Massassachets Judge finds in favor of a prisoner, the state must pay near a million dollars for the prisoner's sex change operation- this is where the Liberal left is leading us.

California has the most extreme gun control laws in the country, crime is out of control there. They are releasing prisoners early due to extreme overcrowding. They are doubling down and trying to pass even more gun control. Crime is going to get worse. So, it has failed there, but the Prez wants to take failure and try in nationally. Stupid.

Obama-care, guess what, many employers have announced they will be lying off full time workers and hiring only part time employees, because healthcare will be too expensive under Obama-care. Thanks, thanks alot.
