Conservatives can't have it both ways, but they try.
Before the ACA was inacted, so many people were calling for a healthcare program similar to Canada's. No that we've inacted a program to insure affordable healthcare to people, they want out. The common worker has ALWAYS had to pay something into their helathcare program. This is nothing new!!!
Most Conservatives were against all the entitlement programs that occurred during the first term. Labeling them nothing more than "government handouts." Now the shoe is on the other foot - you are being forced to actually pay for your own piss poor health requirements. What a surprise that they're the first one's to complain about it.
F*ckin' hypocrites!!!
:o)
Affordable is a key word here, plus every health care program at companies differ. My company actually rapes it employee's and offers very little. I'm battle the insurance company now, they are slow to pay and hem-ha over every charge even though in was an in office visit.
If they are going to make requirements and demands on us, why not make it well rounded so these people who are struggling have a better choices, more variety, and not lose so much of their income.
The middle and lower class people are being skinned.

The insurance companies would have you by the short hairs regardless of what, how or why you pay.

If everyone had the same health problems and requirements then it would be a slam dunk. Unfortunately, we are one of the most unhealthy nations in the world. Heart desease kills more Americans each year than anything else (yes, even hammers, clubs and knives). There is no alternative to affordable healthcare - none.

What people want is the the ability to decide to carry or not to carry health insurance - they won't say it, but they believe it. It's just like car insurance - why do you think that someone would not carry car insurance?

As evil as it may seem, insurance is a responsibility - not an option, IMHO.

I'm surprised some Democrat in DC hasn't tried to ban cholesterol.

And on this point I agree, but put some restrictions on the insurance companies. I just feel the common man shouldn't be put in the hole over this, those tax increases didn't help.
People are already paying peter by robbing paul. I think a scale on your pay should dictate how much you have to pay in. Face it, some people are dirt poor and this is going to send many more looking for welfare to help them out. Plus the added aggravation that even folks who would welcome a chance at benefits are now losing hours so the companies don't have to offer them.
WTF is wrong with that picture? These very people who you want to have insurance are being blocked from getting it.

That wasn't a tax increase - that was a Social Security tax that's always been there - you've just been on "tax holiday" since 2011. Thank Obama for the extra $2,000 (on average) in your pocket for the last two years.

Ah, yes. Good 'ole Bloomberg. I had forgotten he has now taken the lead in telling people what they cannot eat and/or drink.

now that was civil so I will talk...
Kodak business was chem/paper , but that is no longer the case...
President Carter put Kodak in a hole with his right of disclosure of trade research ... Kodak spent 7 million one year and was forced to turn over it findings to its competitors ...
people began to buy cheap... kodak lens were precision glass while others were using plastic ..
the world moved from a black /white to color takes more to
develop b/w than color...
there are a few more reasons but you do have a valid point
I’m usually civil in debate unless someone is condescending or obtuse.

I’m very familiar with Kodak and their operations, at least from 20+ years ago. My grandfather worked their his entire career. My dad worked there for nearly 20 years. Most of my family worked there.

Your additional points are absolutely valid. But, I believe their biggest failure was not keeping step with demand. They could have done so much better. News print and printing companies have also failed due to keeping with consumer demand. All of this is tied together with competition from digital media.

That problem isn’t limited to the delivery of babies. People will claim injury from treatment in hopes of hitting a jackpot. That costs you, me and everyone else a lot of money.
