On another subject, size is relative. Being as tall as you are a .380 in your pocket is probably not that noticeable unless you only weigh about one fitty. Being 5' 2" on a stretched out kinda day I could probably only conceal a derringer in my back pocket. I am not a graceful person, and I tend to be squirmy, so chances are I could find a way to shoot myself in the forehead while carrying a gun in my back pocket.
For you: Gun in back pocket=ok. For me: Any dangerous object in any pocket= bad idea.
you never heard of the Colt buttline....

If it had anything to do with voices or pick axes I dont want to know (news story near Dallas). jk. Was it H? He was pretty absent yesterday from what I saw. H was actually the one who told me to look for you here a while back because I was worried when you seemed to disappear. So much of what I say to people has a pop-culture reference that gets lost sometimes. PS. Do I know Sweetie Pie?

Sheesh- every time I hear about a shooting or someone murdering someone my first thought is, "Which Offbeat troll might that freak be?"

I think with people on Topix you just have to assume everyone can be anyone. Believe him or not, though, he does have some legitimate complaints about the LPPD. Those guys will absolutely, beyond a shadow of a doubt use their personal feelings and egos to manufacture charges. When it comes down to what is said in a police report against someone no one will believe, who is always going to win? He is absolutely telling the truth about this. I have seen the results of their actions, and I sincerely hope the karma train runs over those responsible. Five or six times.

You really dont strike me as very...how do I say it....aware, or observant, or...?
Consider the shooters I listed, other than Virginia Tech, how many of those people gave off giant red warning sparks before they went off? I think reports suggested the Aurora shooter may have had some social media content that was not made public, but I could be wrong.

If these guys went massively public with their thoughts and plans too far in advance they would have risked being stopped. That would have been like Ted Bundy making an appearance on the national news to announce his intentions to begin killing women and listing his criteria for his victims.

Sorry, but not true. Their own IA guy has never found a wrong-doing since he has been with the department. That alone speaks volumes. You really seem like an honorable man, and there is nothing I would love more than to scream out what I know, but I would put someone else at risk. When everything on paper looks like it went according to the books, and you are dealing with someone no one will believe none of what should be true matters. It matters what a trusted public servant, and I say that with vomit rising in my throat, writes in a report. Even if it could not factually be true without breaking laws of physics, time, and space, it is all that matters.

i may need to read about that one. Sounds like an interesting tale. Am i the only person in the world who peruses the daily list of all criminal and civil filings for Harris County just for fun? Please tell me i am not! It is amazing the stuff i find. I found one guy who was arrested coming off a bus. The probable cause to detain him was that he stepped off the bus and looked around as if looking for the police.? I only opened that one up and read it because the it was listed as the state vs x number of dollars. I didn't realize before then that when they seize money they file in civil court against the money itself. Weird. I found an original petition filed by someone that was 18 handwritten pages long against Rick Perry, both George Bushes, and a whole host of other people for, among other things, poisoning dishes and plumbing. Love reading that stuff.

For you: Gun in back pocket=ok. For me: Any dangerous object in any pocket= bad idea.
Letís look at facts. Even a very heavy person, say 400 pounds still doesnít have the weight required to bend the frame. Besides lacking the weight required thereís a great deal of padding to distribute the weight. Not all 400 pounds would be resting on the frame.

I canít completely hide my .380. I carry it in my front pocket using a holster which distorts the outline. You can tell I have something in my pocket but itís not a clear outline of a firearm. Iíve never felt comfortable with inside the waistband holsters. Besides, Iíve always felt a shirt not tucked in looks sloppy. Given our weather here in Florida a jacket to conceal isnít much of an option for concealment.

I never stated I carried in my back pocket. In fact I stated I felt that was a bad idea. Not because it may bend the frame.

If this wasnít a pseudo anonymous forum I probably wouldnít give so many details about what I own. That would simply be advertising to criminals. Law enforcement absolutely can trace any of us on this forum. Without a doubt Topix associates an IP number with every post. I simple warrant to Verizon in my case would yield my name and address for law enforcement.

Mike is simply batshit crazy.
