A temporary cut in social security witholdings gave you extra dollars on your paycheck over the past two years. Congress allowed that break to expire, meaning that ss taxes have reverted back to 6.2% of salary from the temporary 4.2%.
How's that bipartisanship working for you now?
Good job.

The decrease in your check should serve as a reminder to THANK the Obama administration for the two years worth of payroll tax holiday we all enjoyed.

There is no tax increase - the payroll tax remains the same percentage it's always been.

When Obama took office all president before him left a debt of about 10 trillion dollars. After being in office for 4 years we have a debt of about 16 trillion dollars. It is projected at least a trillion or more per year more debt. That would double the entire national debt.

Good point.

As I mentioned before, if they could blame their low testosterone levels on Obama they would.

The problem is, Fact Checkers already called the GOP and Karl Rove out on the same lie months ago.

Today: Romney's $1 Trillion Dollar Lie:

ROMNEY AD: Obamacare raises taxes $1 Trillion Dollars even on the middle class.

Politifact called that same $1 Trillion dollar tax on the middle class lie a "PANTS ON FIRE" lie on June 28, 2012 when Wisconsin GOP candidate, Jeff Fitzgerald told that same lie.

Fitzgerald argues the reform law will raise taxes by $1 trillion over 10 years, using multiplication on a figure in the PolitiFact item on Limbaugh’s claim as his source. And he claims about "75 percent of those taxes will fall on the middle class," citing a Wall Street Journal opinion article as his source.

But both articles are misquoted.

In rating Limbaugh’s statement, PolitiFact National cited two nonpartisan federal agencies in reporting that by 2019, the reform law is expected to raise an additional $438 billion, according to the Joint Committee on Taxation; or $525 billion, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

That’s a lot less than the $1 trillion Fitzgerald [now Romney] is claiming.

Then Politifact says calling it a tax on Middle class is a lie.

Moreover, Fitzgerald’s [now Romney] claim was about taxes on the middle class, but he is citing figures on overall taxes in the health reform law.

As for the Wall Street Journal opinion writer saying up to 75 percent of the "tax" would be on the middle class, he was referring not to the total revenue the law will bring in, but the penalty that would be paid by individuals who do not follow the mandate to get health insurance. The penalty is expected to raise $4 billion per year from 2017 to 2019 -- again, that’s a long way from $1 trillion.

Politifact continues and says the middle class does not get hit with the tax:

To be clear, the health reform law does raise taxes, as our colleagues have noted -- although two of the biggest hit high-income people, not the middle class/blockquote>

In May 2012, Fact Checkers called Karl Rove a liar for the same lie Romney is touting in his new Ad.

Liar, liar pants on fire. At least now I know your inability to produce evidence comes from your Karl Rove admiration..how's he doing now?

Actually, in 2013, Obamacare will impose a 3.8% Medicare tax on unearned income of "high income" taxpayers.

The presidents have changed but congress who controls spending has remained the same.

Tthere is ample blame to go around. When the partisan deceptions on each side are disregarded, the plain fact remains that the debt has increased, for many years, under both Democratic and Republican presidents. And it is currently increasing rapidly, reaching historically high levels, while partisans continue to argue over what to do about it.

Comprehension isn't one of your assets, is it? SS WAS NOT RAISED. No matter how many times you make the claim, it is not so. Again, if you get a paycheck, be sure and THANK Obama for the two years worth of payroll tax holiday (where you didn't have to pay your part of SS) you enjoyed. Money in your pocket. Straight from the Democrats.

AS for ACA, there are some instances where taxes may go up but the vast majority will not notice anything in 2013. My first check only included reflected the end of the payroll tax holiday.

Do you know who buys our outrageous debt???? We buy our own debt through the Federal reserve. We are printing money as fast as we can. The devaluation of our dollar is a hidden tax that hits all of us. Just like the wild inflation from the welfare state and the Vietnam war that LBJ gave us. Europe has a Socialist welfare state paid for by high taxes. We have a Socialist state paid for by borrowing. Do you remember 16% interest rates to buy a home? Just wait till this spending brings down the roof on all of us. Obama says we don't have a spending problem. When he was a senator he voted against raising the debt limit

It was Congress that let the ss tax breaks slip.

And if I were you, I'd get off here and find a second job.
