it is in essence a Federal Mandate
I guess if anything should keep people from shooting at people it should be a federal mandate.

In the interest of equal time, here is a link about gun control in the Old West from The Daily Kos so retards can say: "Oh, look! It's from The Kos so it's a liberal lie!!!!!"

Forgive my asking, but I wasn't born yet for any of those shows and only saw them as reruns when I was a kid. Were any of those shows supposedly set in Texas. Just wondering. I dont know any information for other large cities or for other states, but it is not uncommon to hear on the news for Houston that a homeowner or store clerk shot a robber or burglar. Can anyone comment on that for their area? I do not know what, if any, affect it has on overall rates for these crimes, but it has an immediate, mostly permanent, affect on crime fate statistics for those particular robbers and burglars.

Again, you're talking. Proof of what you're saying. It's a fairly simple concept for anyone with a high school education.

You are aware that if someone will rob a store with a weapon they are probably willing to bend the law a little to use an unregistered hand gun or use a knife or something else. I saw a news clip one time where a guy used a giant snake to rob a store.

Be careful Democrats are the officers in the military because they are part of that old "intellectual elite". You best have a better strategy than that.

<quoted text>I watched a lot of MSNBC up until the election. There is no question I prefer what their personalities have to say about most anything. They aren't selling fear and gold like Fox is. There is A LOT to be said for that! I think some Fox viewers got tired of absolutely EVERYTHING being "the fault" of Obama/democrats. After awhile, only the dumbest of people can't see through that and stay believers.
There is a reason the GOP lost the election and why Fox is losing viewers: People aren't buying their crap like they used to.
Exactly. I would prefer to just see the news and have the opinions left out, myself.

Yeah, the rich couldn't buy the elections and the FOX people couldn't convince the republicans to vote for a guy who believes God is a space alien from the plant of Kolob.

Why would violence go down if guns were registered? Do you think criminals would register their gun? Do you think criminals would stop breaking in homes and stealing other peoples guns? It is illegal for a felon to even own a gun. You speak of others education and intelligence maybe you should look in the mirror

And I see you are still a stupid twit. You are seriously one step away from requiring mechanical ventilation to exist. Have you been examined recently to check for a severe anoxic brain injury? Did you recently require resuscitative efforts beyond a time limit where brain is assumed to take place? I am trying to find some logical reason for your profoundly impaired ability to reason or comprehend reason, because, apart from a logical reason for your idiocy, you are just an idiot with no reasonable excuse. Legal gun sales are already registered. Unless you have a plan for going door to door and searching every square inch of every place in America every single day for home made guns, how do you plan to register hand guns? You do know you can make a gun out of common items, right? I would like to extend to you a personal invitation to personally canvas southwest and northeast Houston registering all the hand guns your stupid little heart desires.

I will never understand Romney being the pick, for religion alone! The GOP base is evangelical and they managed to pick a guy from what amounts (in their estimation) to be a huge cult.

The only thing I can see is they knew they weren't going to win and did not WANT to win after 4 years of obstruction by them and just wanted to make it look like they were trying. Running a Santorum, Perry or Gingrich would have been too obvious.

Prove to me there's no difference in violence with guns before the assault ban, during the assault ban and AFTER the assault ban.

Breaking into homes for guns? You've defeated your own side of the discussion if guns in the home don't deter breakins. Ever heard of a gun safe?

If you BUY a gun, the seller must REGISTER the gun. Why would a felon be required to register a gun AFTER he buys it?

And yet, if a felon went to a gun show and found a gun he wanted, and the seller didn't have to verify identification and register the gun with a background check that could take two days, how would the felon GET a gun when it showed said person was a felon?

Talk about lacking thought process.

That could be true....and now with republicans in congress doing more obstruction, I think the republicans will lose big in 2014. Maybe they are trying to purge their party of the wing nut political cult of born again evangelicals.
