"Thou shalt not kill."---Furthermore, I truly despise guns too, always have and always will.

"Put on a happy face."

"Happiness is whatever you want it to be."

"Never assume anyone anywhere friendless."

"Despite negativity, it's still always a wonderful world."

"Keep passing the open windows."---truly quoted from the 1984 film and novel "The Hotel New Hampshire", meaning if ever seeing an open window, don't ever ever jump out of it.

There is a difference between self-pity and
self-compassion. The former allows you the position of a victim and suffocates your spirit. The latter allows you the same kindness that you would bestow upon another in need, and heals your spirit.

In life there is no fairy tales, no happily ever afters, no prince charming. In life it's reality where you are gonna be hurt, you are gonna cry. But the best thing about reality is that there is a tomorrow.

Passion with dreams means that even when everything falls apart in your life, what remains and never leaves are your dreams. Your dreams alone motivate you enough to put your life back together.

Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. Look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. Give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. Live in the faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you!~ Christian Larson

“The major problem—one of the major problems, for there are several—one of the many major problems with governing people is that of whom you get to do it; or rather of who manages to get people to let them do it to them

To summarize: it is a well-known fact that those people who must want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it.

To summarize the summary: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.”

The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable.

If you go back to the beginning of this thread you will see he did indeed start it, and intended for it also to include discussions about the quotes posted. "Provide short summary why you posted it." I think you misconstrued his intent as an attack when I think he is simply looking for a discussion about the quote. Some quotes that are popular have been taken out of context, I find it interesting.
