I told her the above quote. Laughter interrupted her tears. Thank you for posting it, SB. It will probably be repeated many times in my family.{:-)

I agree with Niko there. Quite insane indeed, cloning mammoths because elephants freeze.

Hey! Watch your 'eye' and "Thank you, fans and friends and odds and ends. And now, for you gals and guys, a few words to the wise. You Jims and Sals are my best pals. And to look your best for the big contest, just be yourselves and have a ball. That's what it's all about, after all. So, forget about the camera and think about the beat. We'll give the folks at home a real big treat. Don't worry about where the camera is, just keep on dancin', that's your biz. Hey, if I tap your shoulder, move to the side. Let the others finish the ride! This is the event you've all been waiting for, the National Dance-Off. And away we go with Johnny Casino and the Gamblers!"

The Four Agreements:

1. Be Impeccable with your Word: Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the Word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your Word in the direction of truth and love.

2. Donít Take Anything Personally
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you wonít be the victim of needless suffering.

3. Donít Make Assumptions
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.

4. Always Do Your Best
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret.

Hello S&U
Why suddenly this week you've quoted unquotes? Greymouser posted that you hadn't been doing that but you do. Didn't say anything to your defense because if you can choose such so many quotes that I enjoy I deduced that you fence for yourself if you chose. jmho
What I find ironic is that quotes without attribution on a term paper should earn an instant F on any paper submitted to a respectable school or university.

Or is there a subtle trolling going on here?

Back on Topic:

I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do. I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do.
Robert A. Heilein

I would say this only works if you have plenty of resources to hire the best lawyers or have so little left to lose that it doesn't matter or your cause goes viral on the internet.

The last is temporary until something shinier comes along.

Nikolai Tesla grokked electricity but was a lousy businessman and a worse marketer. The only reason you know his name is because Westinghouse backed him.

Thomas Edison, on the other hand, was a very good businessman and a good marketer.

I wonder what percentage of that perspiration is trying to convince others you have the right idea?

Well, there is the TV trope that that is why high dollar hookers command the prices they do.

When I hit the powerball tomorrow I'll commission an independent study to myself on the matter and report back.

Lol...what does that got to do with the price of rice in China?? Oooh I know!!

Did I mention, my leg is 44" from hip to toe. So basically we are talking about 88" of therapy, wrapped around you for the bargain price of $3000 dollars!

"Concerning physical pain and illness, I have begun to change my beliefs. I find myself no longer looking at the reason for it, the cause of it, the purpose in it all. But rather see the greatest damage and suffering comes from the urgent need to understand and the feelings of guilt that if I would learn the lesson and be stronger I would be doing what I should be doing. I am thinking these days that the best lesson I could learn, is to let myself off the hook. That I am not too blind or too weak to understand the greater purpose. That pain and illness just is. That's all. And that is enough. And that is a relief."

Dammit. Now you are making me do math to calculate what I should charge...

Let's see... 3000 (dollars) divided by 88 (inches) multiply by length (inches) and girth (inches)... hrmm. what an odd coincidence. It comes out to almost 3070 (dollars)(inches)...

But with the calculation there, I end up with some extra inches on top. I guess the final result also includes the tip.

Back OT with a math ish quote:

One through nine, no maybes, no supposes, no fractions. You can't travel in space, you can't go out into space, you know, without, like, you know, uh, with fractions - what are you going to land on - one-quarter, three-eighths? What are you going to do when you go from here to Venus or something? That's dialectic physics.
