For me I had one and only child. It wasn't cause of many in my family and I washed diapers when I was 7(on a scrab board) and took care of my siblings. It was cause the boy never became a man....Grew up fast I did and wanted no other child to go through what the one I have.Love my child very much and blessed to have him.

When I was a kid I saw all the hard work my mom did raising us all, I just wanted a career... It's funny how life turns out though, I did not get my dream career but I did get the man of my dreams and we have been married for 16 years and we did not have children. No regrets.I am just glad I met a partner that felt the same as me in that respect.

I agree. The world has changed, we seem to be taking steps backwards and not forwards. We like to think we live in this civil society but just watching the nightly news reel tells another story. We are products of the past and the powers that are have not learnt from the past.
Look at the crap the media feed us, the violence EVERYWHERE in movies, tv, even gamers are subjected to it by playing those extremely violent games. Looking into someones eyes as you stab them ( the graphics are very detailed) is sick. I know I know what people will say, It's just a game but it just desensitises people.Kids these days are subjected to so much graphic violence by means of social media, tv,print media, movies like I said so what does soceity expect then when we are now seeing the results of it all. I have seen the changes over he last 30 years in particular and it aint pretty.

When I was a kid I was a tomboy, liked racing, soccer, almost every sport and punched anyone who was mean to me or my friends. Now my middle boy is just like that and my mother is no doubt, somewhere, laughing and pointing at me.

When I was a kid, my brother solved the rubik's cube in under an hour, he's younger than me and I could not solve it so I got upset and threw it at him, I really was a bratty kid...

I hated wooden spoons, worse still were the wooden sticks that held the old window blinds straight. My mom had short arms but those were a great equalizer.

scraping my knees and hands didn't hurt so bad. But when my father would see me fall, then it would hurt even more and worse if I did cry.
