The First Amendment means that the government cannot restrict what you say. It does not give you protection from the consequences of what you say.
When you have a job you can be fired for what you say if it does not live up to the companies image. Try suing the company for firing you if you violate such a policy. You will be laughed out of court.
no.#1 please don't sidebar on law ..unless you are A duly licensed attorney , that of which I was and a seated judge

Nature is giving;
Apple trees bear apples and do not charge.
Bees make honey and we ROB THEM.
The Sea gives up fish and such.
Etc. etc.
'
All I am saying is; we all could try to be a little more giving.(especially if we see or feel the lttle extra 'conscience push' from seeing perhaps a less fortunate servant or such)
'
I we hoard everything it will just rust or rot or be stolen. We cannot take it with us.
'
We are instructed to --"Cast our bread upon the waters and it will return many more fold back to us" --(Ecclesiastes).- So,, keeping it all prevents the windows of heaven from opening up with many, many other blessings upon us. Just sayin..
'
OUCH!... May I somehow challenge you all and myself, to try to GIVE just a wee bit more to those that we know need or could use it.. Even if they have lost their way. I know I do at times and GOD GRACE always comes through for this sinner....And so glad to say that MY CUP SURELY DOES RUN OVER.. May some of it spill onto the less fortunate. Just a thot..'

Please, anyone can claim to be a judge. A judge and attorney could have at least written a clear post. Who is "he" in your post.

Not arguing and maybe you are right. But some cheapskates don't know a proper tip.
I saw a family of ten leave a 3 dollar tip after spending 200 on food. They tied her table up for 3 hours and had 5 messy kids, constantly asking for refills, to-go boxes, real pain in the tush.
She was very upset and she should be.
I don't think this gal would be advertizing a bad tip if she gave bad service, but I also don't agree with her posting it. I've been a waitress and it's the roll of the dice whether you get good patrons or lousy ones. That's the business, just like getting a rude person or one covered in sunshine.
You would think a pastor would know better, I just love those giving Christians, <eye roll>.

it isn't the amount of tip ... that is an individual decision , no law says you have to tip

Had a huge blowup in Korntown a few years back.. over tipping.. Articles in the newspapers etc....

Very interesting.. Tipping is an "unwritten rule" so to speak.. these people make 2 dollars and some change an hour , and COUNT on their tips for survival.. It is a given when you frequent a full service restaurant, to tip..It boils down to common courtesy..
Ive never waited, but simply in people watching, you can judge a lot of character by how folks treat their wait staff...
Back to the topic and article, the "christian" was an asshole , they would have shown better character in quietly leaving without dropping a tip, but had to make their stand for Jesus.. Im glad they were outed in their dispicable behavior..
but , the girl who posted the reciept, violated policy, and confidentiality, and deserved to lose her job for breaking policy...regardless the offense..

Most of my family are attorneys and physicians. With that being said, the ones that have retired stated they might not still practice law or medicine anymore, but they will always be lawyers and physicians. Also remained licensed. The term "was" is not part of our vocabulary. To many accomplishments and proud due to hard work.
