Ew. No. I can't say that I've tried that. I guess we didn't have that where I lived.

Heya, Goldie ... was it metallic green like all the other Ramblers that came out that year? The Drive-in was fun ... Good times ... My first and ONLY experience with wine ... my mom laughed at me when I got home ... NO! She laughed at me when I got SICK ... Strawberry Hills Forever ... NO, it was Strawberry Hill wine ... I was 16 ... My boyfriend walked me to the door, she opened it as we were walked up the drive-way ... I walked to the side of the carport and R_A_L_P_H or was it B_U_I_C_K ... IDK it all sounded the same ... Jimmy was like okay, Mrs G ... backing away real slow ... after he left my mom was laughing at me ... I was really sick, not funny! LOL ... never ever drank wine again ... dang teenagers ... I tell ya ... Then I was grounded for a week ... what a bummer!...
Speaking of...I saw one of those green Ramblers today! It was for sale, and if I had the cash I would have bought it!

I used to work in a service station. All girls. We were busy all the time. It was a college town. Some of the guys would come in for a dollar's worth of gas, go burn that up and come back for another dollar's worth. LOL We had fun, though.(That was before we knew we were being exploited.)

Beer in the 'white can' puts me in mind of when the plain label product craze was in full swing, and everything in a certain designated area of the grocery store had just the name on the packaging of what the product was, and pretty much nothing else.
I distinctly remember seeing plain label beer in a white can for about $1.00 per 6-pack. All it said on the can was 'Beer'.
I just couldn't bring myself to even try it.

I remember that! Like you, I just couldn't bring myself to try it! Our local grocery store had an entire isle dedicated to those white labels.
Remember Billy Beer? That stuff was nasty!

Never tried Billy Beer. Probably the worst beer I ever drank was 'Stag' a/k/a 'Gag'. Very dry. Tolerable if you drank it quickly, but really bad when it started to get even a little warm.
Drank a pretty fair amount of Falstaff whenever Anheuser-Busch was on strike in '76. It wasn't very good, either.
A/B products and Miller were the ones I drank the most.

I think the worst for me was Buckhorn! I lived in NW Arkansas (Benton Co)and had to go to Neosho, MO to buy it. 1.99/6-pack!

When a Congresscritter spoke, it took a lot of time at the library to research their current position and what they said in the past.

Now it's just a Google/Bing/Yahoo search with results in seconds.

I think the Congresscritters are just starting to figure that out...

They do.

Except they are so far behind the times that they think the Sunday morning TV shows and newspapers (what's left of them) is still the way to put forth their positions and try to focus their talking points.

They were able to pull that off for a couple of centuries but now their records are just a google search (About 54,800,000 results (0.25 seconds) away.

The politicians need to be either much more slick or enact laws to make it illegal to catch them trying to be slick.

Which way do you think they'll go?

Yeah.

This country is supposed to be a Representative Republic for the general population but, like any system, a few people have learned how to subvert it.

On the low end you have the welfare cheats and on the upper end, you have cheats bribing the Congresscritters to enact laws in their favor.

I've always thought that a fair court is the front line against a general revolution. Considering a benefit of the doubt I'll give, a cynical optimist like me is starting to wonder...
