When my grandfather used to babysit for us kids he used to say, "If you're not in by 8:00 o'clock, the doors gonna' be locked." We were always in by 7:30.

I loved WKRP.
All the fuss made over Loni Anderson as Jennifer--Jan Smithers as Bailey Quarters was the one that was really HAWT!
Watching Les opening and closing the door to his imaginary office was a hoot.

Okay, actually I do have a good one, do you remember feeling the way about your parents music that your kids and/or grandkids now feel about yours? Do you have any of those songs to share?
Somebody gave my Dad a Chad Mitchell Trio record that had this song-

Lizzy Borden

Massachusetts is a far cry from New York!

(I still have the record.)

The SILVER SOW Award....LOL

On a related note--the episode they did about the tornado--when Herb unplugged the weather alert machine thingy--was based on a tornado that hit that part of the country, April 3, 1974.

How about the one where they dropped the turkeys from the helicopter on Thanksgiving!
Les-"They're hitting the ground like bags of wet cement!"
Mr. Carlson -"As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly."

My favorite was the Kenner Girder and Panel set. I was forever building skyscrapers, and buildings to feed the Thunderjet 500 HO scale slot car track through.

And then there was the never-ending business of hopping up the electric motors on those cars so they went faster! My favorite car body was a '63 Corvette Stingray. I had a couple others but don't even remember what they were.
