I remember some of the so-called "hot lunches" they served to us in school. My favorite was actually a precursor to S.O.S. believe it or not. Only instead of toast they slopped it on mashed potatoes.

Lol...not alot of vegetarians back then for some reason.

BFI powder?
To put on cuts and abrasions.
I haven't seen it in a store for decades.
Looked it up just now and found this-

http://www.amazon.com/BFI-Antiseptic-First-Ai...

But, the reviews say it's not the same thing.
I like the powders better than greasy, wet stuff.
Polysporin powder works pretty good.

Never heard of BFI powder, but I did used to see BC headache powders in the drug store--don't know if they make them anymore.

<sings> Tell your headache to take a powder, tell your headache to take BC!

Don't they normally just sell BC powders in the SE?

Up North here I know they don't sell it.

Must be a regional product. Our favorite syrup was Bob White Fancy Golden Table Syrup--a real high fructose corn syrup--sinfully good. Can't find it in parts of the US.

LOL Vicks Salve. There are lots of older people around here that think Vicks Salve can cure anything and everything--from acne to ingrown toenails....LOL.

One lady at church was telling me her father was complaining about his eye hurting--she went over to see if he was getting a stye or something and the man had Vicks salve all around the outside of his eye. She said "no wonder it's hurting, burning from that menthol in the salve" LOL.

This is gross, but police use vicks on crime scenes where a body has been a longtime.....they put it under their nose, so that all they smell is the Vicks....When we were sick, my mom put it on our chests and we went to bed in a sweatshirt on....
