I had a Crosley 'woody'. Long story.Studebakers, Hudsons, Packards, Kaisers, DeSotos, and Nashes? I never see them on the road anymore.
It was in a barn on a farm I practically grew up on. We would "fill up the tank" starting at about 4 years old and play in it. lol I got the farmer to give it to me at about 15, he wanted one dollar to make it official- and I had to get it running to keep it. The motor was in a wood cherry box in the back. It had a cracked piston. I went to Salem to Harry Eyerly's farm and got one from him. He raced 'midget racers' with Crosley engines and had lots of parts. He was a stunt plane flyer and owned Eyerly's Volkswagen. I got the car running. True story.
(needed a different gas tank, for obvious reasons)
