I don't know if these are the same ones you remember,
but
I remember our little corner store sold some like these.
They were wrapped in a white wax paper envelope with red print ...

What about that colored sugar water encased in wax, shaped like a small bottle. You bite the tip off and drink.......

Guess that's why I couldn't remember the name, it wasn't some catchy marketing name like 'Fried M&Ms'

Me neither. We actually don't eat that much candy, but probably would have a hard time resisting those pb crisps. We don't even eat regular peanut butter. we eat the all-natural kind, lol

I remember those peanut shaped candies. They were really good, although I've since given up all candy, except for some 74% dark cacao chocolate occasionally. Not nearly as sweet as regular chocolate and healthier.
Spread some natural peanut butter on it, even my kids love it that way.

There is a store in Branson Mo called Dicks 5 & dime. Its an old looking store has most any thing you could want or need. They have an area with penny candy. Some very nice choices as well. I get there maybe 3 or 4 times a year, if I am going that way.
I love the tiny sugar baby and black cow candy. We also get chicklets, the mini and the full sized ones to take for all the kids in the neighborhood.

Do you remember the toy that had two balls and a string in the middle? I think they were called Knockers and you had to see how long you could keep them going.

What about the disk you put around your ankle that had a string and bell at the end of it. You had to get it going with one leg while jumping it with the other.
