Neat that you've met him. Does anyone remember the ORIGINAL Hawaii 5-0? Before Kono was a woman, and Danny Williams had a kid? LOL. For the life of me, I don't understand why they remade the original, but changed it all around.

Oh
Farrah Fawcett, the woman responsible for my hair misery in high school :) Practically every boy in high school had that poster in their locker!

Holding a button, that is interesting. Seems many of these were area specific. I'd never heard it's unlucky to take your old broom into a new house, a mover friend had to bring one back across country and return it to the house this family had just moved out of. On the other hand I have moved into a house and the broom was left there, more than once.

Our English teacher in high school is one lady I always think of when it comes to that poster. One of the football players tore a pic of Farrah out of a magazine and put it on her bulletin board. Our teacher was about 4ft 11 with her beehive hairdo, and wore granny glasses. She looked through her bifocals at Farrah's pic and said "be a mighty pretty girl if she'd just comb her hair" LOL.

This thread is on my tracker. A few years back my daughter asked if it bothered me to be losing my memory. I joked at that time and told her no. Am waiting for the rest of it to leave.

Odd thing is...every time I see the headline to this thread ...I really can't remember much. But I am going to go with, I didn't have many toys and was mostly outside. What was outside seems to still be out there. And who really remembers clothespin dolls or a huge button on a strong sting you would pull to make the button spin fast?

I had farm creatures to play with and really fancy clothing to don. Events to go to that are still there or gone from my memory.

Am screwed.

But I like this thread, and I really like a lot of you on it.

It also had the hover craft you could buy and assemble lol

There were all kinds of weird ads in the back of the comics. Frankenstein hands, gum that tasted like peppers, a "real" Lincoln penny with him looking at Kennedy, X-ray specs. I don't remember the hovercraft, but I remember the sea monkeys and a 2 man sub.

Vaguely. I remember the paddle and ball on an elastic string. Wicked toy. The ball would careen every which way. Sometimes popping us in the face.

I do remember playing splits with my sister. Is where one throws a knife at the other's foot and then the one would have to move their foot to accommodate where the knife landed. My mother would let us play that forever. We never once got cut. Odd stuff.

And I remember Jacks & pick up sticks.

~laughs~ Remember 8 track tapes? And 45's?

When my children were little ...there were still sea monkeys around.

I have a huge collection of 45's for my jukebox. It's actually Hubby's, well, it was his grandfather's. A 1954 Wurlitzer, still works too! I do remember 8 tracks too, but don't have any of those left. Just vinyl records.

The troll and his brother had tons of them laying around. The most painful thing known to man is stepping on a green army man that got left in the floor in the middle of the night.

I have one 8-track tape (Kansas) and a 8 track player saved so I could show my son but the 8 track is in the hot attic and probably no good any more Lol
