This is a dreadful situation,
If it happened 'over here' the whole world would
be up in arms-(literally)
They simply must chase these head cases down and deal with them.

I notice other countries are now sitting up and taking notice
and that's a good start.

I admire MICHELLE OBAMA'S open condemnation on
this subject.

So now Boko wants to trade the girls for prisoners! May I ask, what 'prisoners' is he talking about??? Why didn't he get the prisoners in the first place instead of taking these young girls??

a video from Boko Haram, the radical Islamist group that claimed responsibility for kidnapping more than 200 Nigerian schoolgirls last month, shows scores of girls, covered from head to toe, stone-faced, somewhere in the pervasive semidesert scrub that covers this arid region.

After weeks of global concern over the girls’ plight, Boko Haram appears to have seized on the international attention and begun to use the girls as bargaining chips in its war with the Nigerian state.

The United States is sending technical experts to aid the Nigerian government's search for nearly 300 teenage girls who were kidnapped from their school in mid-April, the White House said Tuesday. The mass abduction has sparked international outrage and mounting demands for Nigeria do more to free the girls.

The experts, including a team to be assembled by the U.S. Embassy in Abuja, the Nigerian capital, will include U.S. military and law enforcement personnel capable of sharing their skills on intelligence, investigations, hostage negotiating, information sharing and victim assistance, as well as officials with other expertise.

The U.S. was not considering sending armed force

We (USA) have become to passive......and pander to every interest group. God forbid we should step on someones toes.

You know what we should do?(but we will never do it)

Next time somone steps on our toes (Jihad act, bombing, hijacking, terrorist plot, etc) we should go into the area that harbored the activity and fricken level it.......carpet bomb it to shreds, leave nothing (no nuclear).

When dealing with people that rule by using fear and death they must be dealt in like fashion. Annihilate them..... Then other people will realize that if you cut off our finger we will come back and remove your arm. It's the only way to deal with THESE TYPE of people. They do not know reasoning, kindness, compassion...... They know fear and hate.

Wake the sleeping lion......come one now.

Very easy to say, but have you considered that these extremists are EVERYWHERE, they
are infiltrated into our cities, an instance I can mention are two doctors in Glasgow Scotland
who blew up a railway station....and of course the suicide bombers who took rucksacks on
the bus and train in London, blew themselves and many innocent people up.
Basically, they are amongst us....sometimes the least likely.
Look at the Boston Marathon tragedy as another instance.

I get what you are saying....
But at what point do you "cut off the infected finger" to save the arm?

Where is that line drawn?

At some point we have to put our foot down and make a stand (a firm statement/action).....If we don't, they will slowly take us over......

It just reeks of Nazi Germany. Let's eliminate them because we don't believe in their
religion.
I was born in a country (England) where the King (Henry V111th)'made' the country
Church of England as he didn't want the Pope ruling the country on account of he, the
King, wanted to marry a divorcee.
He cut off the arm...and I think it is shameful.
He changed the course of history by his actions.
No, the answer is the rescue the girls by however means it takes, and ensure that
security is put into place.

And this may shock. But what is so wonderful about Christianity anyway. It is immoral,
anything goes, how do we know these 'extremists' don't have in mind protecting these girls
from the temptations of the world?
There I have said it, I may regret it, but hey.

Before you shout me down....let us ask ourselves what sort of world
have we made for our females? Inasmuch as girls/women have
just been accepted to fight alongside their male counterparts on the
front line in the military.
Is that acceptable in your eyes? As it is not in mine.

Nazi Germany? I respectfully disagree Eleanor.....
I am talking self defense. When you have factions that threaten, maim, and/or kill your citizens IN YOUR OWN COUNTRY (i.e USA) based on their own belief system.....then something must be done, especially since these factioins are growing in number within your borders. We must protect our citizens. When people come to America we accept them, but they don't accept us?? They are coming here, they should ASSIMILATE.....and not try to kill us.
The Nazis wanted all the power, we just want to protect the USA from the aforementioned factions.

Big difference.

CORRECTION Germany declared war upon the USA , we [USA] declared war upon Japan

and the USA was the only country that Germany declared war upon
