In the 90s lower back tattoos were all the rage. In recent years their popularity, like most things, has dwindled. Only problem is they are permanent and unlike wigwams and acid wash jeans you cannot remove them and they are hard to cover.

They have also acquired a certain stigma that the bearer may be a little skanky. I personally do not have one but I have a lot of that do. I can't help but sympathize with them. They got them before they went mainstream. How were they to know they would one day become synonymous with strippers?

My question is what do you think of lower back tattoos?

Never got a tat despite several years in the Marines. Never wore a Mullet tho they were the rage when I got out. Thats the trouble with fads. EVERYBODY does it until its lame stream and passes away. Just be true to yourself. As far as tramp stamps what is done is done. I don't see them as anything bad, just a youthful goof.

I don't have any whatsoever, but I would never judge those that have them. The tramp stamp is no different than an ankle/arm tattoo.

True,

I feel the same,
I don't have any,

Me too. I'm too chicken to get one, but I certainly don't pass judgment on those that do. It's just not for me.

Really! Bok! Bok! This is a nurse, askeered of needles! As long as I'm sticking them in someone else, I'm okay. I told my hubby his veins are so good I could start an IV on him from across the room. Just toss it like a dart. Drives him crazy when I press on his veins. To me, that's like bubble wrap, playing with veins. LOL

I would never ever get a tat, because I am also a chicken, and I don't like pain, but to each his own. Just because ya got a little ink doesn't make you a bad person. I like looking at them. Some are done very well. It's art. That's all, in a live medium. Like dying your hair or cutting it. Except it's permanent. And if you judge someone by their art, you are a sorry excuse for a person. Tattoos do not harm anyone. They're not unhealthy and cannot get "ingrained" whatever that means.(ask Ancient)

If I had one it would be something like that. Very nice.
I like the Buddhist prayer too. Did you ever finish that
one, Vic?
