Our house is over 100 yrs old.
From the early 1900s to the late '50s it
was a boarding house.
In the late '30s a steam powered train, that
ran by the house every day carrying miners on
their way to work, exploded a mile above the
house. The bodies (parts) were brought here and
laid in the main room...now the living room.
The families of the men came and identified the
remains and took them home.

Later in the '50s..a little girl who lived here
was playing in a storage space under the main
stairs. Someone had stored blasting caps from the
mines there. Somehow she set one off and killed
herself.

I guess that would be a Yes!. lol

Hahaha...me, too.
Is this a serious thread because, yes. I lived in a murder-suicide house.

I don't know about people but a dog was chained under the house and died. The rod in which the dog was chained to is still in the floor of the hall closet in the middle of the house..Can not remove it..I've tried but no success.House built in the 1920's
I've had some strange things happen here..Some may not believe it.

How gruesome.
Actually, the dog having been chained under the house is probably not that unusual, depending on where you live. It may have been the coolest area. I had a dog that liked to get under an old house I lived in just for the drop in temperature.
But it's gross that the rod is still there. Maybe you can get somebody to saw it off and then cover it with a new floor board?
