Good morning also. <rubes eyes and scratches head> It is my all time favprite. It is how I believe spiritually mostly. Of course, a movie can not define spirituality but if one could, this one did for me. It is not an easy movie to find but once you watch it, you won't lean the dvd out!:) There's never been a better love story.

Here's a beautiful song,
An Irish song -
one of MOORE'S MELODIES -
- great lyrics,

I've even considered having it performed
at my funeral!

It is sung hear by a singer of times past -
but such a beautiful and clear voice..
does the song justice

[From National Airs by Thomas Moore]

"Oft, in the stilly night,
Ere Slumber's chain has bound me,
Fond Memory brings the light
Of other days around me:

The smiles, the tears,
Of boyhood's years,
The words of love then spoken;
The eyes that shone,
Now dimm'd and gone,
cheerful hearts now broken!

Thus, in the stilly night,
Ere Slumber's chain hath bound me,
Sad Memory brings the light
Of other days around me.

When I remember all
The friends, so link'd together,
I've seen around me fall
Like leaves in wintry weather;

I feel like one,
Who treads alone
Some banquet-hall deserted,
Whose lights are fled,
Whose garlands dead,
And all but he departed!

Thus, in the stilly night,
Ere Slumber's chain hath bound me,
Sad Memory brings the light
Of other days around me."

Nice melody Grace..ya know.. while we are living and enjoying life ad is. WHY NOT? Prepare for our funerals.. the music, the Wake the burial site.. Do we really want our family and friends to be sad of our passing??.. No, we want them to remember us as the Party Animals in life and in death...Truly the loss of a loved one who had died is heart wrenching enough..add a bit of music..enriching the mood with lightness.. thus smiles will appear.. diminishing the frowns. Great food menu items you chose and the perfect location to celebrate your demise. Birth as well as death needs recognition in the form of a celebration sort. Death is a release from the Earthly chains that bound you to pain, suffering and heartache. Once free, those that have passed are but a whisper away...a sense of comfort to the ones left behind. LIVE YOUR LIFE YOUR WAY..it was given to you, to do as you please. Spread the Love and Don't forget to TELL those you Truly Love.. I Love You...each and every day....and when gazing upon the casket or an urn containing the ashes of your loved one...remember to say." Am Happy we passed this way"...

Interesting post , CC..

SEE, that's surely one of the disadvantages
of TOPIX, we dono' the full person with whom
we are corresponding -
and no one's to blame for that..
it's how TOPIX is.

My family understand WHO I am,
and WHAT I'm about.. my personality.. and all else.

I was just including a very beautiful
song here, wishing to share the richness
of it's lyrics with others -
and I think enough of those lyrics,
I would consider using them in my funeral
arrangements - simply that:

Thank you, CC.

When it is my time, this is what I want read......

My Beloved,
Remember me with laughter and cheers, for that is the way I shall remember you all......
If you can only remember me with sadness an tears, then don't remember me at all.

There might be those who want to fight here just as they do else where. Those here know that I will handle any arguments just as a mamma says, "settle down now. you all want some cocoa?"

I believe that if you treat people not only with respect, but actual caring, their desire to fight disappears and they show you the divine spirit they were intended to be.(everyone of us is you know)

Anyways, a very fine morning to you. Your dressed very sharply today.:) Can I get you some hot tea or coffee this morning? I also have some fresh baked blueberry scones which go wonderfully with the lavender and rose tea I made for today.

Regarding funerals, I don't want one. I've seen how people look at the body and make all sorts of comments. Besides, I won't know it anyway and the money can be used for a better cause. I want to be cremated and have my ashes scattered or in an urn, but preferably scattered. I don't know, it just seems more peaceful to me. No burial! I've never liked the idea of being interred. Saw too many funerals and it creeps me out to see the casket lowered into the cold dark ground. And what happens when they run out of space to bury people? That may happen someday.

The other night it snowed here. Only about 2 inches or so, but it was the most glittering display I have ever seen - like a million diamonds in the snow. Just beautiful. Almost as if tiny fairies dusted the landscape with glitter. Just like magic..
