I stand corrected for this particular area. I was trying to locate the article from the US paper that was bemoaning the lack of adequate records for the ATF, causing the police weeks to find the source of a particular weapon used in a crime.
Found it! This is from the NY Times of four days ago:

CAPT: also note that the ATF is federal ... it can only deal with buyers/sellers of arms....interstate/internation al trade -transportation of arms... classified arms and ammo

each regulates within its borders [state rights to self rule]

A seemingly innocuous move by the GOP... Interesting that the two who blocked the move to install a full-fledged director were "toe tapper" Larry Craig and the "non-drinking Mormon" Crapo.
Even MORE fascinating is that the GOP and their media arm, Foxnews, try soooooo hard to blame "Fast & Furious" on Obama while stone-walling any efforts to get an actual director for the ATF. Golly- what are they up to?

I wasn't whining, I was explaining, but I knew what your interpretation would be when I wrote it. Sorta like knowing your politics.

Ironic coming from someone who chooses to blame the firearms rather than the criminals who misuse them.

Fast and Furious and don't forget Banghazi, another OBAMA gun deal gone bad where people died! With this shooting in CT, Banghazi will be swept under the rug.

Since I suspect from the level of your posts that you would have difficulty working out the time of day - you have no chance with guessing at what my politics might be.

I only interpret what you write. Glad to see you've learnt to spell whining, given the content of your posts, you'll need the word. Amazing that "sorta" is not in any auto-correct dictionary, but the phone you own that makes all the mistakes did not pick it up. Now work on auto-punctuate. On wait - it doesn't have one. Now wonder your posts are so accurate in that department.

Armed teachers are not the answer. Tighter gun control is.

Really? I've learnt? You really need to be criticizing!
I'm willing to bet my education exceeds yours. Which is mute point anyway. When one must resort to criticizing spelling, grammar, punctuation, and what features a phone may or may not have, it's clear who is winning the debate.

Bet all you want - unless you hold two degrees, a postgraduate and several professional qualifications, you would lose.
You were the one who initialled involving your phone, not I. As to winning/losing a debate - I await with eager anticipation your production of any material that might come close to constituting a debate.

Correct, armed guards in a school only works in President Obama's kids school. 10 armed guards to be exact.

You see the rich and famous family counts and everyone else's kids don't.

Moving police department offices to schools is a start. Moving the PDs to schools would cost nothing in terms of staffing. There are already Chiefs of police in each department and they could provide the needed protection for a school.

Government needs to work smart for a change.
