"Good luck with your asparagus."
That comment is simple to explain. It was, as the kids say, an f-you, a not-subtle dig at Gohmert's reputation for exaggeration and confusion. It was an attempt to make Gohmert feel bad, to get under his skin. It was, in other words, punitive — not necessarily the sort of thing you want to see from America's main law enforcement official, particularly when he's being grilled by the committee that oversees his work.
Typical n~~~~r talk.

Attorney General

The chief law enforcement officer of the United States or of a state government, typically serving in an Executive Branch position. The individual represents the government in litigation and serves as the principal advisor to government officials and agencies in legal matters.

The attorney general is head of the u.s. justice department and chief law officer of the federal government. He or she represents the United States in legal matters generally and gives advice and opinions to the president and to other heads of executive departments as requested. In cases of exceptional gravity or special importance, the attorney general may appear in person before the U.S. Supreme Court to represent the interests of the government.

As head of the Justice Department, the attorney general is charged with enforcing federal laws, furnishing legal counsel in federal cases, construing the laws under which other executive departments act, supervising federal penal institutions, and investigating violations of federal laws. The attorney general also supervises and directs the activities of the U.S. attorneys and u.s. marshals in the various judicial districts.

Tying it all together:

Excerpt:
Sharpton's National Action Network, which will host Obama on Friday, has skirted responsibility for $1.9 million in back taxes and penalties it has owed the IRS since a 2006 investigation into improper tax reporting.

He also owes more than $888,000 in personal debts related to a failed 2004 presidential campaign, and $100,000 more in related debts to the federal government.

There are strong personal ties between Sharpton and Barack Obama, including several Oval office visits on topics as diverse as jobs and education – mostly with other black community leaders.

Sharpton was also on hand for first lady Michelle Obama's 50th birthday party as a guest of hte Obamas. And he had a seat near the guest of honor at a State Dinner this year honoring French President Francois Hollande.

He brought his girlfriend, a woman barely half his age.( Their picture in article )

Hey HH pardon the pun,
But the current A.G. is nothing more than Obama's "pocket fuzz" and it's going to take more than a rinse cycle to get rid of it!

I think him and Boehner should get-to-gether and cry about how bad the world is treating them! Both should loose their jobs immediately!

Ted Cruz: Eric Holder deserves impeachment over IRS controversy
04/11/14

By Amanda Sakuma

Republicans want heads to roll over the Internal Revenue Service controversy. If that doesn’t happen, apparently, Eric Holder is to blame.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz on Thursday said the U.S. attorney general deserves to be impeached for not fully investigating the IRS, which acknowledged last year that agents improperly targeted tea party groups for extra scrutiny.

“Among other things, Congress should impeach Eric Holder because Eric Holder is defying Congress and defying rule of law,” Cruz said on Sean Hannity’s radio show.

“Eric Holder has been the most partisan attorney general the U.S. has ever had,” he added.

Holder is used to the name-calling by now. The attorney general strayed from his prepared remarks at the National Action Network convention
((( Al Sharpton's Black Caucus )))
Wednesday to bash the way congressional Republicans treated him, calling it “ugly and divisive.”

In 2012, House Republicans held Holder in contempt of Congress over the botched gun-running operation “Fast and Furious.” Democrats stormed off the House floor in protest and condemned the move as political theater.

Now, the former IRS official embroiled in the agency’s drama may see a similar fate.

The House Oversight Committee on Thursday green-lit a resolution to hold Lois Lerner in contempt of Congress for refusing to answer their questions. Republicans on the committee, led by Republican Chairman Darrell Issa, charge that Lerner waived her right against pleading the Fifth Amendment during the two times she appeared before congressional panels.

One day earlier, a separate House committee voted to refer Lerner to the DOJ to pursue possible criminal charges. The Justice Department is already investigating both Lerner and the agency, but their efforts have not gone far enough, Cruz said Thursday.

“In the eight months that have transpired, not a single person has been indicted. In the eight months that have transpired, most of the victims of wrongful targeting haven’t even been interviewed,” he said.

Impeachment threats are nothing new for Holder. Last year a group of 20 Republicans wanted the attorney general ousted for “systematically deceiving” Congress and “destroying” the DOJ’s credibility. Another Republican said if President Obama didn’t fire his attorney general, Congress would “start the rattles of impeachment on Eric Holder.”

Witness to Sharpton drug deal:'It was greed. He just wanted money'
Thomas Lifson

Al Sharpton, whose organization just hosted President Obama and Eric Holder, was forced into becoming an FBI informant because the feds had him cold in a drug deal for cocaine, according to a former pal of his. Frank Rosario of the New York Post reports:

A drug trafficker who worked for Al Sharpton’s nonprofit in the 1980s said that despite the preacher’s denials, he was eager to get a slice of the lucrative drug deal captured on FBI surveillance video.

“It was greed. He just wanted money,” Robert Curington, 72, told The Post during a two-day interview at his North Carolina home, detailing for the first time how Sharpton stepped into the FBI’s trap — and was then forced to become a federal informant.

Sharpton has said he showed interest in the drug deal only because he feared the undercover agent was armed. He also claimed that he snitched for the feds — as first reported by The Smoking Gun this week — because the mob was threatening him.

Curington called all of that a tall tale.

For the moment, this is a he said/he said story. But the FBI has files that could reveal much.

Meanwhile, the POTUS and the nation’s top law enforcement officer who supervises the FBI saw fit to grace the podium of Sharpton’s organization this week, a matter which should be of deep shame to them and the nation. Sharpton has already distinguished himself as a race-baiter who incited the death of several people at Freddy’s Fashion Mart in Harlem, which he denounced as “outside interlopers” for the crime of being not black operators of a store in a predominantly black neighborhood.

The fact that Sharpton, who weaseled out of paying a court judgment against him for libel in the shameful Tawana Brawley hoax by claiming, among other outrageous falsehoods, that he did not own the expensive suits he wore, is not held up as a pariah is a mark of shame for Obama, Holder, and MSNBC among many others.
