Scott English - High On A Hill - 1964

This song sounds so DooWop but is surprisingly a 60s song. I remember my best friend and I went to her bf's place one Saturday night and we were all necking to this song, lol. We were listening to the Cousin Brucie Show which was on a NY radio station and very popular in those days. BTW, Cousin Brucie is still around and interviews with 50s and 60s song artists.

I learned about Cousin Brucie when we were at my best friend's bf's house that night. That was 1964. Cousin Brucie always put on a good show. The show would start off with echoing voices calling for Cousin Brucie to appear. Like I said, Cousin Brucie is still doing radio and sounds pretty much like he did in the 60s. Hy Litt? How could I forget Hy Litt, lol! Remember the Jay Sands show? I use to listen to that every morning before heading off for school. I also remember Ernie Stegler's "Toast and Coffee Time" which was on around the same time but Jay Sands was more popular with the kids. Do you recall the Agricultural Hall dances at the Allentown fairgrounds? Those were great times in the day.

I don't remember Jay Sands...but I do remember a guy named Jay Cooke...btw, I have heard of Cousin Brucie...as for Hy Lit, he passed away several years ago...I met him several times...I was surprised to find out, how quiet he actually was...also, that he and I had the same Birthday...I do miss him...:(
