Another Labor Day will come and go. Lots of fun, food and celebrating, but let's not forget the history of this important holiday.

Happy Labor Day!

Labor Day: What it Means

Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

I hope that Labor Day to you means more then just the last of Summer. Labor Day was created to dedicate a day to the labor movement in America. Many people worked hard for the betterment and fairness for laborers in this country. While times may have changed, it's still important not to forget the sacrifices people made so that people could enjoy well being and prosperity. It's important to remember because history often repeats itself. We don't want to ever have to go back to those days of hardship and unfair working practices and conditions.

I agree with everything you stated, except this part, not all companies practice decent working conditions, there is alot of this going around. But there are companies that treat their employees like gold.

You just have to find the good guy companies, they do exist. Hopefully the bad companies will get put out of business. I try not to shop in the bad companies. Imagine if millions of people got together and boycotted the bad companies, they would go down pretty quick.
