I've read tales of identical twins passing tests on a higher than average level.

By swapping ID's and each taking the others exams in what ever subject that one excelled in.

It was a good plan; till they were busted, because one didn't have sense enough to change his answers slightly on the test "his brother" took.

Nice try, but no diploma.

Many states do not require a law degree to be a judge.
****On the federal level, there's no requirement that Supreme Court Justices be attorneys. As a matter of fact, there are no qualifications at all for Supreme Court justices -- if the Senate were willing to go along with it, the president could theoretically appoint a ten-year-old child, to the Supreme Court.

I've always scored in the mid 140s but IQ is only one small part of the picture determining one's level of success or lack thereof in the real world.

Very true. I really don't think the tests scores are accurate for everyone. Some people just don't take tests well.

How many tests did you take and did you know you're not supposed to add up the scores?

judges serve on municipal courts as well as the Supreme Court.....however, the degree requirements for each position may differ slightly.

Municipal Courts

The lowest branch of courts in the United States is known as the municipal court circuit and includes magistrates and town judges.....to hold one of these judge positions, individuals are not required to hold a law degree, but rather need only a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

State Courts

courts with statewide jurisdiction as well as appellate power exist. To be appointed as a judge at the state level, individuals must hold a bachelor's degree as well as a juris doctor, or law degree. Additionally, judges at the state level must have passed the bar exam in their state.

Federal Judges

federal judges serving in the various appellate courts around the United States are required to hold a bachelor's degree as well as a juris doctor....individuals need not be actively practicing lawyers at the time of their appointment to the court.

TINK/GENO/FAT AZZ now tell us what else you don't know

The bar , Mahogany Ridge worked for me

remember tink you asked me that about two years ago...

please discuss this amongst yourselves and keep me post fun watching you all grovel

remember fat ass you said I had to be a practicing lawyer to be a judge

amicus curiae.......

You and Denny Crain (stated IQ of 142) are both two of the most prized posters to all of Topix. It's certainly my humble honor just to be on or even near the same thread as you or Mr. Crane. Should you both concurrently be posting on any given thread I actually would need to get my Ajax bowel crème's new product marketed as "Krap n' Yur Pantz" kit so not to soil myself.

The question should be "are you an attorney?", you are only a lawyer when you are before the bench.
