I think using correct grammar is important
and shows respect.

Phone Texting is a different matter,
words/sentences abbreviated for convenience.

Of course it matters. Your grammar and command of language equates to the summation of perception the business world has of your education. Trust in your qualification to lead or make informed decisions is greatly influenced by language skills.

Hell, even here in topix land, self appointed grammar police jump on the slightest miss use of your/you're, their/there. Think about it, these are short words. Miss using them reflects a short bus or short attention span education.

Sigh,... I side with Judge Judy on this one. However, in the spirit of communicating on topix, I think if one is wise enough to catch bad grammar and spelling, one is wise enough to know the intent of a poster's comment. To offer insult or correct grammar on line is just fighting illiteracy with ignorance. I'll choose the illiterate over the ignorant any day!
